This appears to be one of the Pay as you go services, where you can hide you your real telephone number.  This would be good if you don't want the spouse of who you want to contact know you are having an affair.

I filed a complaint with the FCC. I suggest you all do the same. :-)

Its a telemarketing call from  Active periodicals. They have a opt-out VM but the voice mail is full! I recommend you also post your complaints on www.ripoffreport.com

This number keeps calling me but does not leave a voicemail.  They have called 4 times so far today.

Just got my first call of the day today at 9:30 a.m. I actually answered this time and told them I wasn't interested, and to please take me off their list.  They hung up on me.

They called me to tell me that I won a $1000 shopping spree. When I asked how I was selected he said randomly and that they also send out magazines to distribute them more in that area.  I then told him to remove me from the lists and was hung up on.

Last couple of days I've been getting these calls.  Yesterday it sounded like someone had their cellphone in their pocket and had accidentally called me from a bar.  Today it's elevator music.  I called the number back and got a pre-recorded message.  You can opt out.  Press 1, 1, 3.  The second 1 is if you're calling from the phone that was called.  Three is to be placed on their Do Not Call list.  It takes 24 hours to update and it says to disregard anymore calls from them.

I've gotten 4 calls today from this same number.  Each time a voice message is left... with some type of elevator music in the background. Uggghhhh.

I got a call today from 313-450-1391 it said private name and I do not answer those. When I googled the number I found this complaint board. I am so glad I did not answer the phone! I have written down all these numbers and will add them to a list I have going. I get so many of these harassing phone calls! I bought a whistle and now when they call I blow the whistle into the phone. One number stopped calling for 2 weeks after 4 whistles in 15 minutes but I guess they forgot as they called me again today. Has anyone gotten anywhere with these complaints?

call your phone company and ask them to block the number.

If this is Active Periodicals, as mentioned by Stone (29 April  2009), I have been getting a call from them also at 954-671-6946, Deerfield Beach, FL. This number - 313-450-1391 - comes in as "Private Name" and is based in Wayne, MI.

A call comes in from 313-45-1391 and no message is left my mive mail even states my number is isted with the national do not call registry. It also states that my phone service is set to block unknow numbers but they manage to get through. 10,000 who did they hit with that a credit Union.

is from telemarketer "Active Periodicals" - regarding magazines.  They call repeatedly, do not leave a message.

If you call the number, the recording indicates that you may be removed from their list by leaving your name & phone number, but the mailbox is always "full", so no message can be left.

"WhoCallsMe.com" & "RipoffReport.com" info references unauthorized drafting of a bank account.  Note: ACTIVE PERIODICALS - International Readers League - Wender Magazine Subscription offered a $1000 free on-line shopping spree, after I bought 5 magazines, that I could change at any time, at the cost of 37.34 a month for 20 months...  SUGGESTION: DON'T GO THERE!

They called me to tell me that I won a $1,000 shopping spree if I would purchase magazine subscriptions. They identified themselves as Active Publishing Co. Keith Marshall told me that I could call 800-553-7336 to cancel any time. When Mr. Marshall requested a credit card number, I took his name and phone number and told him I would call him back if it was a legitimate offer.

2-3 times a day..........enough already!

All I heard was some music and then a dial tone.

I get 4 calls a day from this number and just elevator music.

Told me I had won a 1000.- online shopping spree.... I told him we were on the no call list. They just hung up....

I have received 3 calls from this number. Some silence and about 10 sec.
I filed a complaint with the FCC. I suggest you all do the same.

Every day or two I receive a call from 1 313-450-1391.  I get dead silence and a hangup.  It's even long distance; I lived in Michigan and 313 is the AC for the Detroit area.
