I received a call from this number. The man left a very nasty message for a person who no longer have this number.  No company name, no reference of the debt.  Stated that it was in his complience area and that must be paid or going to jail.

They are trying to scam you.  Nobody is arrested for debt in the USA.  They are violating the FDCPA right and left.  If you do speak to them again, insist they give you their company name and mailing address so that you can mail them a certified letter demanding validation of the debt.  It is their legal obligation to mail this to you if you ask.  They are lying when they say that you only get the proof after payment.  That doesn't even make sense, and your instincts were right for realizing that!  They won't take you to court because they can't win -- they are scammers who are unable to prove that you owe anything.

It's a huge fat scam!!!!!! They called and harassed me and I said well if its a legal matter then let me give you my lawyers number (knowing it was a scam the whole time) he proceeded to call me a scum bag POS and told me never to call his office again I'm having my lawyer draw up legal papers and have them served with harassment charges and illegally impersonating an officer I live in Texas don't mess with Texas girls their daddy's usually have money and are mean ;)

My boss received a call from this company saying i had to call immediatly. Then I call the number and the guy tells me that he is an officer and told the same thing that I'm going to jail for fraud and they will pick me up at work today. I was terrified and called the local police who informed me that if you owe money it is a civil matter and they can take you to court to get back their money like garnishment or levy's. Then the police also stated that they would not ever pick me up becuase of a stupid debt owed. They informed me to make a complaint to the attorney general in Arizona and tell them to stop calling and mail a proof of debt. When asked for a proof of debt they told me that I get all this "after" i paid them. I was like ok let me just hand you my life savings while im at it. Like for real. This is not a very nice company and they are the ones who should be arrested for fraud and portraying an officer. I told them that I looked into legal advise and they stated that Arizona statues state that what has been done is fraud and jail and arrest are agiven. I did look into this and would rather just go to court and handle it there. My boss is even thinking of pressing charges for harrasment.

well....1st off, my girfriend received a call from an AKA Steve Klien, and he stated that they were looking for me to take me into custody for 2 felony fraud charges.  I then called the # that was given and talked to 3 people, (being xfr) I talked to somebody that was saying they had a court document that was sent to my address (as to which I never received) then they stated I was suppose to be in court 10 days ago (really), ok then he, they, whoever stated that I owed a payday loan for $1538.38 and that I can resolve this issue and it will stop me from going to JAIL...

Ok...1st off, I have NEVER taken out a payday loan, 2nd, I have contacted the Dearborn, MI policy dept in regards to this "bogus" phone number.   I am not sure if this is a scam or not but I don't have time for this mess right here.   They need to find another way conducting "scare tactics"

Called and left a message for someone with the same last name as me, stating they were not in compliance and to call "Michael Goldstein" back ASAP...and "good luck".

I called the number, someone answered with the same voice as "Michael Goldstein", but was using a different name.  I reported to him that person was not at that number, I didn't know them, etc.  He said thanks and hung up.  Extremely rude.

They called me and my family with the name Frank J Trumball III saying we owed 1100 and that we had 30min to pay or they would send the police to arrest me and put me in jail for 1-3 years and take my kids from us and cancel all our ssa. We went to the courts here and the police and they told us it is a scam DO NOT PAY ANYTHING.

This number (313-499-0673) called my ex-wife asking for $2000 for a supposed "fraud" or they were gonna press 2 felony charges. It's a scam don't give them any info. Don't send them anything call the Detroit police & the fbi.

Received same call Mar.7,2013 with similar threats of: Had 30min to pay 9000.00 or settle with a sum of 3000.00 for one payment and schedule a payment with a money order or i was being issued federal warrants on two felony accounts. Attorney of mine has said same not to pay possible scam since i have no papers served on me.

i got a call from this at 1 pm PST. telling me i have a Felony charges for a payday loan from 3 years ago i called a attorney  he said it could be a phone scam
