Same Call... Think this is the guy that cussed me out the last time I led him on until we got to the point where he wanted any real information.

I just got the call about 5 minutes ago...WTH?  Let it go to vm and then decided to look up the number.

1)  are all of these calls going to wireless\mobile phones?
2)  I'm on Verizon - incase that might be a common trait we all share.
3)  I also got another strange call on Friday evening from an Oregon number.

My number should also be secure and I'm wondering why I am starting to get solicitation calls.

Someone also called me from 314-439-0508...no answer. Upon calling back (and this was immediately calling back) all I heard was a disconnected message!

I just got the same call... "um hi" was all he said and the call was dropped.... called back and saiid that the number has been diisconected...

I just got this call a minute ago. "um HI" than disconnected.

The caller gave a name (Sue maybe?) and then said they were calling from "credit services."  They proceeded to tell me right away "Don't worry, there's no problem with your credit card."

The voice sounded pre-recorded or robotic and they never gave the name of the "credit card company" they represented.  So, I just hung up on them.  10 mins later I got a call from 314-627-5502 trying to give me a Wal-Mart gift card because of some purchase I made online.  I asked which purchase that was and was told they could give me a different number to call to find that out.  However, when I insisted that I didn't want the gift card at all and asked for the other number (3 times) they just hung up on me.

Spam call to my cell phone. I supposedly am on the "do not call list".

Weird.

JUST GOT THE SAME CALL...I TRIED TO CALL BACK AND THE NUMBER WA DISCONNECTED

I got it too, both at home and on my mobile, both are registered with DNC.

I received a phone call on my cell listed as 'Unknown' and did not answer. I received it again a few hours later, and this time I did answer. The guy said that he was with the Visa/MasterCard company & one of which I was in good standings with, & I was in a $25,000 sweepstakes through this magazine which he would not say. He asked for my date of birth for a stat chart but I said I did not apply for anything & was not comfortable giving him any info.
At that exact time I received a call from the 314-439-0508 #. I put the other guy on hold & answered. He said "Hi" and then no response. So I hung up on everyone. I tried to call the 314 # back from 2 diff phones but it said it was disconnected. So I took my phone apart just in case.
I called my credit card company later & they said that it was not them & that if it was they would not need to ask for information. But so far there were no charges.

After a review of the companie's web site posted earlier, we are obviously dealing with phisers, spammers, and hackers. With this said, the best thing to do is ignore them and don't try to get personnal with them. As far as being on the do not call list, if you start by dialing 000-000-0001 and call every number up to 999-999-9999 you will call everyone regardless of what list they are on. It is an old and common practice, this is how they find faxes, modems, and people so they can sell your information or use it maliciously themselves.

Left a msg on my cell; said he was sorry for taking so long to get back with me, left his name "Rick Morgan" but said nothing about the company he represented.  Offered interest rates of ~1% and said "I see here you are only making the minimum payments, so . . . "  
I haven't called anyone about this, so I feel relatively confident it is phishing.  No details, no reference to who he talked to, etc.  Left phone # 1-800-676-9314.  Google that number to get the rest of the story.

This mid 20's guy just called my cell...hung up on me.  Weird because I am filling out job applications online and the application logged me out and went to some unicru.org website.  Then 2 seconds later I got the call from the 314-439-0508 number.

Just got this call, it didn't raise suspicions since I live in STL MO & pretty much any call I get is a 314! But pattern is the same, "Um, HI" and then nothing.

I got it like 30 mins ago my phone is on the do not call list

I just got a call from him too, said 'hello', twenty's, didn't saything after that so I hung up. It was on my work phone, not sure how he (it) got my extension.

I got the call and didn't answer. tried to call back, was disconnected. But what's odd is that I also got a text message saying "PLEASE CALL" it's a land line, and so I couldn't text back. Figuring i'll ignore it till it happens again.

Anyone else gotten texts from the number?

If it was a Spam call, Who exactly, ans why would they be wasting there time to randomly call people around the USA, and on top of that people that have private numbers that pay extra $ a month on top of there phone bill to keep there number private (I'm one of those). ??!!!

If you haven't read my previous post in [#2] I strongly recommend doing so. gina it seams to me that you may have a possible connection due to your background, maybe someone in your current facility is using your name to purchase certain products to your location of work. Who knows thats just my opinion.
