I'm on the no call list, how did number get through to me?

A scammer has been calling me at this number.  When you call them back, they don't answer.  I believe they have stolen phone list from company and are trying to scam people.

Have received several calls from this number...answered once and asked to be removed from the list. They won't stop.

They have called my cell phone a number of times, but I'm seldom near it, so I don't answer.  I've tried to call them back at the number on my caller I.D., but they never.  their answering machine identifies them as American Equity Mortgage.  I SMELL A SCAM!!!!

Mortgage company trying to get you to refinance. Answered once and now they won't stop calling. I guess I'll try asking them to take me of the calling list. They call 3-5 times a week.

Just answer..  when they ask for you, just say no.. This is his friend X.. He died last week, we are soooo upset.  They won't call back.

in the process of purchasing a home, so my realtor probably gave my number away so they can call me. They keep hanging up when i answer. I'm about to start wasting their time like they're wasting mine.

How do they get through the "do not call" screening if they are located in the states?

The person calls my house constantly leaves LONG, DETAILED messages for "Mike".  Since I don't know Mike I ignored the call and deleted the message.  He continued to call two and three times a day each time leaving a message saying he's returning the call and has a great deal for a morgage rate.  I blocked the number (770955-5700) and know a week later they are calling again with this new number.  I'll block again but I really wish they would stop calling.  I tried to call back and ask them to remove my number but of course no one answers.

It's a mortgage company.  Spam.

Some rep in Atlanta started to call me and asked refinace. Suddenly I get this number since yesterday.
So irritating.

They always hang up without talking.  And it's my cell phone.  So rude and irritating.

Accept the call and then get vulgar nasty to them.  This works sometimes in getting your number removed.

They are trying to persuade you to change mortgadge to them. Just don't answer.

Called and would not speak.  I could hear some back ground talk.  Then hung up.  Rude.

They called me 5 or 6 times two weeks ago. I answered twice and told them they had the wrong number. The second time they asked me if I was "Rebecca" from some city like 3 hours away from me. Again, I said no, and that I'd like them to stop calling. They called again today...luckily I was in class or it would have been time for me to mess with them. Kind of hoping they call again :D

Anecdotal information: I've only ever heard what sounds like two voices...African-American man and African-American woman.
