They just called and hung up.  I work from home and have 3 landlines... sometimes it sounds like someone's conducting an orchestra when these solicitors ring all 3 of them at once!  It's happened!  Anyway, no use spending too much energy w/ the do-not-call registry folks as I've learned that they basically do nothing except, like a shrink, let you wail on their couch til you're through venting, then everyone smiles and hangs up. Net "We're doing what we can but our hands are tied" which leads me to conclude it's simply one of those bureaus for political appointees... they send em to the Do Not Call Farm.  I actually got one of em on the phone and he snarled "well what do you want me to do about it???"

Go figure!

I have had countless calls from this number, but do not answer the phone, thanks to caller id.. I have had 2 cals within 20 minutes this morning...

I got the call too - will see if call blocking will work.

This number called me today it's a woman that says she is from the daily news, then asks if you have kids!!?? Veryyy Odd RED FLAG!!!

I have several free subscriptions to business related magazines. If they can verify that a certain number of engineers, designers, or whatever receive their publication, they can charge something for advertising. They call every 6 months to a year to verify the details of my subscription. Sometimes the calls are a little annoying because the English skills of the callers are not great. I have never found anything nefarious in these calls.

I signed up for some Profesional Journals.
Requested ePubs only, but keep getting paper
versions of several related ( same publisher ).
Requested cancellation but they keep calling.
The related Journals too.

The ONLY way to stop this is to get in touch
with the ADVERTISERS in the Journals.
They are paying for targeted ads and want
to know if they are annoying people.

Sometimes the CEO of the Companies involved
have a Twitter account which makes it HIGH VISSIBILTY
to the world.  This works too.

I answered "this is greg" they had my full name, and responded " is this greg?",
I answered "this is him" they high up.

Continue to get calls to my cell phone.  Call back is a recorded message stating the company is verifying a free publication.  This has gone for three weeks evening after leaving the request for my number to be removed three times.

Calling our 800 business number to sell us stuff- enough is enough- I LOVE CALL BLOCKING!!

Didn't recognize the number - came in on a cellphone - thus didn't respond to the request.  Maybe what we need is a "User assignable caller block feature" on our phones - then we would have additional control over the "do not call list" which appears to be ignored by some.

After 4 days of autodialer calls hanging up after I introduce the doctor's office, the call finally connected. Through the thick middle eastern accent I was able to decipher (after at least a minute of back and forth) that they were looking for one of our providers to renew a "free subscription" Be careful with these kind's of people. Half of them are fishing for information, some will record your "yes" answers and edit them into false recordings that make it sound like you agreed to pay a large sum for their services and the others will falsely claim that you had agreed to pay for the subscription provided.

This number belongs to a free magazine subscription company. I called the number back to report to the to stop calling. They call and say nothing. There is a voice mail when you call it back. it says to leave a message to have your number removed and it should happen with in 24 business hrs. I guess we will see if this is true.

Called cell phone, did not leave message.

2 days in a row so far.  They call and no one on the line.  They are calling my cell phone during work hours.

Report to National Do Not Call Center, as continued harrasment. If enough of us report this number, something will happen.

This number just keeps calling me.  When I answer, there is no one there.

keep getting calls from this number.  the called ID says "contact center".  When I call back it gives a recording saying that I have received a free publication from one of their companies...????
