Hi I live in Canada too and just got same type of call. it was from 312-878-9758. World wide Promotions or something like that. They talked so fast and hard to hear them and keep up with them. They said I had been entered in a contest or promotion in a WalMart or Zellers store by someone. I had won $2,500 for a trip to Cancun with all food, drinks etc included and to press 1 to receive. Unfortunately I wasn't thinking a I was busy when I answered the phone so I pressed 1. Another auto voice asked me if I was over 18 and had a valid credit card. Then she said I was being transferred to another person for more details. When music came on I hung up.  I got the number and called them but they said it was for certain promotional items and my number was not valued! What a scam!  I'm so upset at myself for not hanging up in the beginning! Now I have to worry about if they got info on my line! Please don't anyone else fall for this scam. If it sounds too good to be true it is! xo

Got a call on Aug 11, was away but they didn't leave a message.  Toooo many calls coming from all kinds of numbers this summer such as this one.  I'm in Canada too and on the DNC List....but they just keep changing their numbers they call us from :(

Got the same call on my cell phone with no message left.  When you catch them live, ask to get their home phone or cell phone numbers so you can call them back after you check with spouse on the trip.  They will say "no, we do not take calls at their home."  Tell them "neither do I" and hang up.

Seems to me that it's time Canada and the USA consolidated their no-call lists and legislative authority, as all that 'no-call' has done is push Canadian scammers south, and US scammers north, of our border as they understand that Canada cannot enforce its no-call list south of the border anymore than the USA can enforce its no-call list north of the border.

I just got a call from them, i use google voice, and it automatically ignored the call and placed it in my "Spam" box. but i was wondering about it, glad to know it really is junk.

I live in Canada and received a call at 7.55 pm today message saying Walmart, Zellers and The Bay are having a sale and someone in my family that attended the store entered my name in a contest.  I hung. first of all I'm on the DO NOT CALL LIST , my family never enters store contest, and Walmart Zellers and The Bay are not having an in store contest. SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!. when will the calls ends SICK OF IT.

I live in Canada & I receive calls to my UNLISTED number!!!!! How can I get them to stop calling? It's really annoying. Today I fell into temptation & pressed 1 thinking that I might speak to a person. What was I thinking????? After pressing 1, all I achieved was a  "goodbye" from an automated voice.
I wish I can say goodbye & good riddance!!!!!!
Shouldn't there be a law against this type of harassment????????

Received call this p.m. (West Coast Canada).  Didn't answer ~ left only silence in msg.  If I don't recognize the area code, I don't feel obliged to answer.

Phone rang, didn't pick up receiver, this no. came up on display.  Message left re: vacation in Mexico.  Hope there's a hell for these people who are so annoying.

Just got the call. If you wait they give you the option to decline the offert by pressing #3 then they said you're number has been removed.

Phone says it's a call from Missouri.  According to other posts, the automated voice tells you a friend entered you in a contest with Canadian Tire, Walmart, & Zellers for an all-expenses trip to Cancun Mexico.  If you press '1' you will be transferred to a time-share company.  Smells a lot like a scam.  Also has called from 909-259-5646.
