Apologies, I get so many unknown calls, I mixed this site up with the last one that was coming from a 250 xxx xxxx caller, but got many from this one too, so the thanks still applies.

I have received at least 5 calls from this number and I have a son on Vancouver Island which is a "250" prefix, so I worry and pick up the phone. Nobody is there.  Thanks to everyone who posted -now I won't worry and I'll block them out..

Received a call today at noon from this number, was dead air then an automated voice said Hello, and the line went dead. I am blacklisting them now!

Recorded messages from 'Laura' set to respond to common responses such as "I'd like to speak to a live person" and "may I speak with your supervisor". Recorded voice assured me that this was not a scam and simply the marketing company for a resort (yeah, right!). I've tried a couple of different tactics that normally work with auto-dialers (pressing # 3x to simulate a fax machine, etc) but they didn't work. Will block this number from both my cell and home.

I just got a call from this number.  Didn't pick up.   I am on the no call list - doesn't seem to matter.  By the way, I just found out a couple of weeks ago, that you need to renew on the Do not Call list.  It expires every few years (five, I think).  Mine had expired and I renewed.  Am on again for five years.  

Dec 4/13   Received 2calls yesterday and 2today on my cell phone same number. ticks me off they have my cell number fortunately I was. Ot available and they left no message. I too am in Canada so am ticked I am being targeted by a MO number from USA!

2 calls, 11:50 am Dec 2, and 12:53 Dec 3. Vernon B.C. This is following daily calls between 11:00 and 3:00 from an unknown number. Seems this number has replaced it. Same as most everyone else, no msg, and no one on the line when answered. Will answer everytime from now on to determine who the F these moronic auto dialers are. Don't think it will help though.

I am in NS and get calls from this number, but do not know anyone who would be calling from that location.  Dead air and no messages. ?????

They called me regarding a vacation promo and it was a recorded message. Waste of time.

On the contrary.. the telemarketers are obliged to follow the DNC. However, being on the DNC does not protect you from the scammers, frauds and illegal telemarketers.  Those one's don't obey any laws.

I find these calls to be very annoying. It's not fair that we should be disturbed over these ridiculous calls coming through.
Telephone companies say they're autodialers. Sure, we can have our phone numbers on the National Do Not Call List...but the US is not obliged to obey that rule.

I had the same phone calls...didn't answer of course. I think the secret here is not to answer the calls. If they can't identify that it's a real number they may not call anymore. I reported a phone number from where I was getting calls (not this one of course)..my phone company checked into it, & told me very likely it's an autodialer.

In Grande Prairie and just received a call from this number on my work cell. same as everyone else, dead air and then disconnects.

I am at work right now and was with a client when my cell phone rang twice. I didn't answer because I was with a client and it was from someone unknown. When I finished with my client call the number back and the phone is dead for a long time before you hear a ringing. After a few rings the phone has a busy sound.  I wish there was some way to actually do something about these types of things. How do these people get my cell phone number and what do they want?

Called me today - 4 times! Never actually rang more than once each time. Hang up and drop. Ring and repeat. For that they get blocked, but given what is above. Blocked and sworn at.

I got call to my office number they didn't leave message either

I had that number call me 3 times. Answered and it hangs up on me. So I tried to call it back and it asks me for an authorization code. Like heck am I going to type in any auth code for a number I have no idea who it is.

Called my work cell phone in Ontario on Nov 29 2013 at 230pm. I added it to my 'do not answer' contact in my phone

I called my phone company and requested they contact the RCMP and provide us with a file number for the investigation into this. This is an international crime so I don't know if the FBI becomes involved. In any event, the RCMP will act as our liaison. I asked Eastlink to call me back with the RCMP file number and instructions to assist other people who are being harassed. Consumers are not powerless but we must organize.

I'm located in Delta BC and received a call from this number today; no one answered when I picked up. It appears to be a scam but not sure what kind.

i got a call from this number, so i decided to answer knowing this was a scam i had fun with it and let me tell you its definately a scam asking you like have you ever been to these geographical locations blah blah blah if not would you like to all we need is your credit card and you get it for free lol when these people ever gonna learn these scams are old
