If I received an e-mail like this (reading it was kind of like walking through a plowed field), my first response would not be to walk away. My first response would be to sprint away, in full Usain Bolt mode. Man, if anything ever had "scam"  written ALL over it...

As in response to the issue of Frank Ramirez, and the other guy as well I suppose, you guys need to go to IC3.gov and file a complaint. Then call the local law enforcement and file a report with them as well as the nearest FBI agency in your area. They're going to tell you that they can't do anything about it and that's because they don't see it as a big issue. They have to wait until a few people complain about it. Please please please do this so we can catch these guys. I am a victim of this. They threatened to call the authorities if I didn't wire the money because they would assume I was trying to steal their money. I'm a college student, I work part time and now my account is overdrawn by more than 2500. I can't eat, drive or do anything. Please help and do your part so we can catch them.

Okay, I knew I should not ignore the bad feeling I was having.  I get the same phone number when I asked for the address of the company (listed on Indeed.com). They finally gave me an address 105 Jordan Rd, Troy NY 12180-8384.  They do not belong to the BBB and the address does not match the company name of Micro System Technologies.  They have sent me one check for almost $3000, 200 for me, 100 for software to purchase and the rest to send to Jesse Hayes in NJ to send the equipment to me.  Now I have received another check, same amount...150 for me, 150 for an accounting principles book and the rest to be sent to SC to another name who is supposed to be my trainer.  I do not have any of my own money in this, but the guy is foreign using the name of Brent (not the name on other posts I have read, but the foreign accent is correct) is a little pushy, another flag, emails have incorrect spelling, another flag. I just dont want to be caught up in anything illegal or have something done to me.  I have no money for them to get that is for sure, I have been unemployed for the past 2 years and my parents have been supporting me once my unemployment ran out..until I find another job. Emails are back and forth (blumail) and phone calls throughout the day keeping track of what I do with the checks.  I am ending this.  Got in touch with people at BBB. I have helped get one company shut down maybe if we all stick with this and get in touch with people in our local government, we can get this stopped!

Yeah, I got the same thing - emails back and forth. Blumail email address, two different company names, bad grammar and the spelling tipped me off so I have my husband read the offer, since it was written in such a confusing manner.  I replied back and asked if I could speak with them in person and I got another email with the same info on it.  So far they have not asked for money - which is a dead giveaway.  I'm so desperate for a job right now that I was hoping it was a real job (stupid me).  Upon receiving the first email, I looked up the company info as best I could, but nothing came up.  Today I finally got a response with the guy's full name and sure enough, it is Frank Ramirez.  I found this job posting on Indeed.  I'm going to contact them.  I know it's not their responsibility, but I think they should know.  I wasted so much time answering their questions, I feel like such a fool.  I guess I DO feel better know they didn't get any money from me.  Oh well.

These guys have a pretty good con going and will take you. If you have them calling you --- start asking MORE questions - see if you can catch them.

No phone calls, but have been contacted concerning job offer from "Atlantic Soft"....the first clue it was a scam is that a professional company would have website related email address as in Mark@atlanticsoft.com.  This comes from AtlanticSoft@blumail.org??? Yeah, right.

Asks you extensive questions, I suppose to make it sound real, but if you're good with spelling, grammar and punctuation you would also note that there are a lot of mistakes in their emails. A real and professional company would never allow an email to go out that badly done.  The English isn't even proper, another clue.

Then you've been given a great opportunity...and they want you first to prove your 'trust" by paying for equipment you MUST have to work for them. Nada.

Oh, and they explained the blumail email instead of atlanticsoft.com as the website and email are undergoing construction.

Yeah, I know because I've got the same stuff in email but I won't respond.

Here's the thing, though...is there anything we can do to stop people like this? Where would you report it? And would  it matter, since anybody can change their email accounts and IP addresses.  Sure, I suppose they could be charged with fraud if they were caught but is there anyway to catch them?  I'd like to hear back on this. I detest these kinds of people.  They prey on those who WILL fall for their scam.  I'm sure their batting average isn't a .300 by any means, but they know some people will fall for it, so they're probably batting a steady .125. Sucks.

BTW, the guy emailing me is Frank Ramirez but at the phone number in your post. No, wait, it's

I have received the same information.. They went so far as to send me an actual check for $2,984.00 via Fedex! Once they received confirmation that it was delivered(mind you no signature required) they began to contstantly call and text me.. I've been playing along with their game this whole time.. I even lied and told them that I had deposited the check into my account. Once I did that they told me that they would let me know when the "issuing bank releases the funds" So today I began receiveing test messages from some lady named Rosemary at 3 in the morning!!! Really!
Since I didn't answer, Mr. Ramirez began calling my phone back to back. I checked my email this morning and the subject was "JAIL SENTENCE" It said that they had contacted the local authorities and the FBI saying that I'm not goin to steal their money.. I'm trying to catch these people.. I'm sick and tired of people like that trying to get over on others who are actually looking for work to support their families. Wish me luck

My job suffered a fire and my boss went into a coma..so I had to start looking.

I replied to an add for a Computer Data Entry / Administrator Position and got a lengthy email from Silicus Technology.

I will be contacting this Frank Ramirez and seeing if they have any formal work contract first.  It is VERY odd that they would request duplicate information that is already on the resume itself.

I will let yall know what happens and try to do more research.

They are very convincing and this is the last email of many in which they asked a whole slew of non-identifying but very interviewy type of questions.  Usually this would be the time someone should call in person.

Anyway..this is what they sent..
