Foreign man named Peter. Said he worked for Windows. Said my computer sent a signal that it had malicious malware and wanted me to pay for a program and download something and he would walk me through the steps. BIG SCAM!!!!!!!!! I told him I was going to unplug my computer and take it in to the computer store and he told me not to..that it could cost me hundreds of dollars...and he would be cheaper. He hung up on me.

Caller ID said Unavailable 1  called 4-29-14 @ 1:31 PM. Said he was from Windows and people were doing
illegal things on my computer, he wanted me to push widows key and R key to show me.  I told him I did not want to do that, ask that he give me a number to call him back, to make sure he was from windows. all the time I am
recording the phone call  from Sound Recorder in my Windows Program.  He gave his number as
315-352-4191 told me to ask for Tony Wilson.  I had not intention of calling him, just want to see if he would give me a number to call.  I hung up and  reported it to the Federal Trade Commission.  They call my home on a average of once every 2 or three months.  I do have a voice recording of this foreign man who wanted me to
give him access to my computer.

I received a call from a "Microsoft" agent, his name was Sam- had an Indian accent.  When I told him I was hesitant to give access to my computer, he assured me he was from Microsoft and this was a legitimate call.  When I asked for a number that I could call back to verifty, he gave me 315-351-4191.  I asked him for the 800 number.  He said Microsoft doesn't have 800 numbers,  I didn't call the number to verify, sounded way too suspicious.

I also received a suspicious phone call from a man with an Indian accent claiming to be associated with Windows. He made call sound urgent stating that there was a virus attack going on with my computer at that moment and that I needed to work with him immediately to prevent the attack. I asked for some verification that he is with Microsoft which he claimed he was a third party but would not provide anything substantial. I ask for his phone number which he gave as 315-352-4191. Thank you to everyone who has provide their experience.

We received a call an Indian-sounding man who said that our computer was being hacked and directed us to go to a web site "LOG MEIN" He said he was from United Kingdom Cyber Support and they are licensed to do work for Windows and Mac.  I ask for his phone # and he gave me 315 352-4191 but said it was an international number.  I told him I would not give him any information until I contacted my computer support directly.  He then hurriedly got off the line.

Just received a call from this number, a man named "Sam"  from Windows (supposedly) with an Indian accent.  I took his number, assumed it might be a scam and just saw these other posts, thank you!  Needless to say I wont be calling him back.

We receipt an unknown call from somebody, same story, He told he is with Windows and he tried to scare us about the malware in the computer. He was very persistent at the point we went on front the computer and allowed him to enter remotely the computer. The think is that he asked to restart the computer in order to finish the operation, but my husband asked him if he really works for Windows, and he replied that We could verify calling this number 3153524191, so went to look for this numbers online, and some how we found out that it's a scam number. After that, we rushed to call directly Microsoft, which telephone number is 1800-Microsoft, and They told us it was a scam, and They charged us with 149 dollars in order to them check the computer and check if there is some malware program installed, so It gave us peace of mind at a certain point. Too bad to fall in this scam bsht, but sometimes it happens.

Indian or Pakistani sounding man said he was with Windows and we needed to get on our computer and he would walk us through fixing a problem with our computer spreading malware to other computers. When pressed he wouldn't give his city. His name was not understandable when we asked him his name. Scam artist, actually in NY state. Don't give them any info or access to your computer! Reported this to the FBI.
