I got the same call, inform them it is illegal to accuse u , threaten u or anything of such nature. I have the same problem they had me so upset on the phone said I was going to prison, I committed fraud (which I did not) that I better borrow the money fast from someone I had 48 hours to come up with the payment or they were sending the Sherriff 's to come get me. Then they had some fake caller call me stating they were from my counties police processing server dept. they wanted me to call them and tell them my employers address so they could come serve me. First of all servers don't call u , because they want to catch u off guard so they can serve u, I found out all this after I was shaking in fear I was going to prison so over a small amount of debit.  I spoke to a lawyer about it and they can't say those kind of things to u, even if u do owe them a debt. Everything they did to me was highly illegal and one can bring charges against these companies. Just stand your ground if u get a call like that... Tell them take me to court , if I had the money to pay you obviously we wouldn't be having this conversation.  It is a civil matter and they can't have u arrested and put in prison as they told me that was what was going to happen to me. We have rights as well. There is a form letter on line, I can't remember the link that u can send these creditors and it states they have to stop calling or u will turn them into the attorney generals office in what ever state u live in.

Hope this helps. Im disabled and it would cost them more to take me to court than what they ever would get out of me if anything which I highly doubt.
