I received a call from the number above telling me that there had been a security breach and that my debit card had been locked.  When I called them back, it went to a voice mail from some management company.  Do you know who calls from this number?  The bank states that all of our cards are working correctly. Thank you

I pressed the one, and then it asks for your account number. I entered all Zeros, and it reads them back. then it says if this is correct press 1. I did. then it says this number is not valid. So i played along and entered in random numbers beginning with 6011 ( a valid discover card number), and again it said it was not valid. it finally hung up. i called the number back (662-328-1666) and it is a recording for some girl named Jennifer. I googled the number and it comes up to UniShippers in Mississippi. My guess is that the business and phone number are legit, but this phishing operation has hijacked the number somehow.

I received a call that my card was blocked and it prompted me to push the #1 to start process to unlock  bogus I do not bank or deal with Wells Fargo Banks.

Number came up restricted for me and confirmed from Police Dept that it is a scam...I'm not sure what they are trying to do.  It told me to push one to unlock my car but I didn't.  Police state that you are fine if you didn't push the one as requested.   My question is how do they get my number?

Seattle area  - just got the same message as all of you - I don't bank with Wells Fargo, either.  And it does sounds like "your CAR has been locked" hahahaha!!

same deal.  blocked number though.  has anyone called wells fargo about this?  and if so, what did they say?

Syracuse, NY just moment ago (9/28/11) stating that my "Wells Fargo card has been locked do to security reasons.  To reactivate your card now, please press 1."
I hung up immediately as I have no cards of any kind with Wells Fargo. After some quick research, it seems this is indeed a scam of some sort and should be avoided. I was curious, so I did call the number back without any response.

3154694459 just called me to tell me my nonexistant wellsfargo account had been compromised.

Same stuff...short message saying my card has been locked and to unlock press 5. I returned the call and it's an apartment management office in New York. Their outgoing message says they have nothing to do with Wells Fargo Bank.  SCAM!

Received automated call that my account had been locked by Wells Fargo...don't have this card - SCAM!!!
Didn't go through the prompts past "press 1 to release it" but they probably want you to key in your card number for nefarious purposes.

I didn't answer. They left a 3 second voice mail (a recording) couldn't make out what they said. Probably a scam like you said.
