Now he just wants 150 bottles of red wine. Here are the red flags, his grammar and punctution is horrible, doesn't specify what kind of red wine "a private shipper will pick the wine up","wants my cell phone number" why not the business number? Finally in his first attempt to place an order a week ago his "Mum's" birthday was Nov.13th now it's the 20th

jeeze what a waste of effort - why not divert that energy into something legal?

We received a faxed message from JEFF COLE FAX# 315-875-8049 asking for 150 bottles of our ultra-premium pinot noir. He wants our cell number so he can set up a pick up at our tasting room on Westside Road in Sonoma County. Watch out for this obvious scam.

We just received a fax from that number also saying he is with Jeff's Party Planner and that he is hearing impaired and wants wine for 150 people (none of the wines he requested are from our winery). Very helpful to see others receiving a similar fax and that this is some type of scam.

Jeff Cole is working yet another angle. We just received a fax stating that he is the owner of Jeff's Party Planner. He needs wine for 150 people for his mother's birthday. Apparently he's not choosy because he wants either 150 bottles of a sparkling wine from Sonoma or 150 bottles of a Pinot Noir from Sonoma or 150 bottles of tempranillo from Spain. He also states that he is hearing impaired and that he "needs" my cell phone

Agree with jusmze. This is a scam which is sent to bodyshops. It's in the vein of the classic Nigerian 419 scam ( i.e. "you pay the small advance charges, we'll give you a ton of money").

We keep receiving faxes from this number to our body shop. We are in Missouri and I take it this is a New York #. Says he is hearing impaired and needs his uncle's car repaired. When you call the number they want you to pay tow and they will get the car to us. We know this is a scam. Gives his email as jeffcole706@yahoo.com with the fax # from above.
