Hang up.  No message.

I am getting phone call from this no(1 315 903 9100) but nobody answering. Since last three days I am recieving phone call but when I accept...no answer. I don't know who is this and why they are calling me, also from where they got my phone no. Interesting but also tensful....Is anybody receiving such phone call \??

We have been getting calls from this number for those several months, almost once in a week.  Hang up no message, always the same.  Caller ID shows "WOLFF SMG" a famous marketing firm in NY.  Is this a part of their survey?

Just got a call from said number this morning, but had a bad signal.  She said, "Okay, we'll call back at another time."  I redialed the number and there was an operator message saying, "The call cannot be completed as dialed."

I'm waiting on a call from NY anyhow.

I also got the calls and asked ACS to investigate.  Here is the response from the ACS Office in Washington, D.C.:

"The calls you are receiving is from PTM Communications/Wolff AMG an outside company that the ACS has hired to do the Spring BPA classification survey.  Members who have not responded to the CLSN survey in the past 3 years will receive a call from the outside telemarketing firm."

If you have any questions, you should probably contact ACS directly.  I opted not to answer any questions from the caller (in my case I actually got someone when I picked up - her name was Precious).

We have been recieving this call at work almost daily for the past few weeks.  There is no one at the other end of the line.  No noises.  Nothing.  When I try to dial the number back it tells me that the number can not be completed as dialed.  I am fed up with answering this phone call when I have a store full of customers and no time to screw around with some automated phone call.  Does anyone have any ideas who I can call to get this to stop!???!

Frequent calls to my cell phone from 315-903-9100. If I ignore the call, they do not leave a message. If I answer, no one says anything, then they disconnect after 5-10 seconds.

How do we stop these phone calls? I have received many calls to no avail.

A guy said he was calling from American Chemical Society, to update some information. Asked me for the "general industry" of my job and my title. Too bad, I gave him the answers before googling the number.

I did the same that Ben did. They asked me for my "general industry" and my "title" as well, but before that, they asked me if it was OK that they were going to record our conversation. I don't know how harmful can it be. I tried to dial the number back and I get a recording saying that is not a working number (1-315-903-9100)

Did not answer.  Caller hung up and did not leave a message.  Must not have been important.

I received a call 10 Mar.  Can't call this number back.  I'm on the Do Not Call registry

They were calling on behalf of C&EN, doing an audit. They asked me two questions: what the nature of my company is, and what my job title is. I'm guessing this is a calling service that the ACS contracted to make calls on the ACS's behalf.

S Wolff at 315-903-9100 has called my number 5 times and just hangs up what is this about?

Everytime I answer the phone they hang up that has happen about 5 times it shows S Wolff at 315-903-9100. How can we stop this.

I get at least 3 calls a day starting at 8am, I don't answer because I dont know who it is. I have tried to call back, but it always says "your call cannot be completed as dialed. I get so mad no message is left. This has been happening for about 2 weeks now.

I kept getting calls at my work from 315-903-9100. The caller ID read: Wolff SMG.  I looked up Wolff SMG found there web site, and called them.  I spoke to a woman and she shaid they would remove me from the system.  heres the info for the rest of your getting those annoying calls.

I, too, have received numerous calls in my office on my direct line from 315-903-9100. Same story, repeated calls with no message. I am in health but not a chemist (or even close).  It's getting irritating so I'll likely have to give ACS a buzz.

For the last few weeks I have been getting calls repeatedly from this number that shows up from Macedon, NY.  There is no message but you can hear voices of other operators in the background.

I received a call on my business cell phone from 315-903-9100.  I did not and do not plan to return the call.  No message was left.  I am not affiliated with ACS and am not in a related business.

I called ACS from my home phone yesterday morning and got a call w/ in an hour from this number. I did not give my home phone to ACS but rather my work number. Is someone tapped into their incoming caller ID?  I can't recall using my home phone for anything w/ them.  My ID said the caller was "Wolff SMG" but they left no message. I was just doing a search to see who this was to know if I should call back and noticed the ACS comments...very odd.

Am also an ACS member - and have gotten 2 consecutive calls ( on a Friday morning, and a Monday morning at approx. the same times ) - did receive a mailing from ACS descibing the below-mentioned survey - which I did online - will be interesting to see if I get another on Tues a.m.

I too have now gotten calls--always missed calls and no message.  so far 3 days in a row at about 9 am everytime.  I am also a member of ACS so it must be their database--someone needs to notify them.

I got a legitimate call back from the American Chemical Society Publications department and caller ID indicated 315-903-9100. So I do have one instance for which this number was used as it should have been.

I have had multiple calls from 315-903-9100 at my work number in the last couple of weeks.  I can see the caller id, but they never respond if I answer.  If I don't answer, there is no message.

Yes, I am aldo ACS member. I believe there is something wrong with ACS database. Information is being leaked from databse. We have to be careful. Four times  I got phone call, hang up and no reply.
Need to inform to ACS chai.
