On do not call list! Do not want any newspaper. So quit calling me! 3 calls in 1 day is harrSement!

I am tired of receiving calls from people in California, Atlanta and a few other states where some one I have never herd from before saying that if I don't pay all kinds of money they will have a warrent filed against me and I will go to jail. Ment other and law have gotten these and she's 84 years old. Orwewill have callers that say we have just allied for a payday loan thentheywant to give us a loan but we ever aplied in the first place my argument about this is all are names and numbers are I the state and national do not call list. why are we getting calls are these no call list bogus fortheamerican people just to shut us up.

Still getting multiple calls from this number even after requesting no contact from them.  Arrgggg.

OH dear gosh....i live in another city so why would they want to sell me a subscription to their newspaper. Thanks for the info.....

Newspapers are exempt from the no call list

It isn't an actual person hanging up on you.  They use an automated dialer to dial the phone numbers.  If an agent isn't available to take the call the dialer hangs up.

This is the Indianapolis Star and while I know who they are I just don't answer. I know all it is is a sales call trying to convince me to renew my subscription to the paper. I did cancel my subscription just yesterday. It has become more cost effective for me to get my paper at walmart than home delivered. I was receiving the sunday/thursday edition, but in reality all that I need is the Sunday paper. Our household is cutting expenses costs less money this way, gas is no issue as we are at walmart multiple days every week. They also told me the rate would go up from $9 to $14 just because I didn't want to use auto pay anymore. I informed her that we closed our bank account and do not use debit/credit cards at all. We refuse to pay the monthly fee just for the convenience of a debit card. Goodbye $12/month to Chase.

same here.  It says "Star Media" so I assumed it was the Indianapolis Star; but why would the Star hang up every time I answer?

I get phone calls daily from 317 444 3506 and they do not leave a message.

We've gotten calls from this number several times, but when I answer I hear an echo (like I'm talking to an answering machine) and then it hangs up.  We subscribe to the Palladium Item, a newspaper owned by Gannett, and our subscription is about to run out... but I don't know why there's no answer.

This number calls every morning and every evening leaving no messages. It is becoming a harrassment issue.

This is from the Indpls Star trying to get me to re-new my subscription.  I don't answer it because if I don't recognize the number, THEY DON'T GET TO TALK TO ME.  If it is really important, they will leave a message.

We received a call from this number a couple times. They are telling us our subscription to the Sunday Star is running out soon. I'm like hello we know we have received the notice in the mail.

I, too, have received numerous calls from this number and they don't respond when I answer and won't leave a message.  I hope quit calling soon.

I get the Star 2 times a week, Thursday and Sunday.  When i picked up the phone, they proceeded to hang up.  I called the star and requested they stop calling, or i will stop service.  Figures after about 2 hours, the same damn number came up..  Lame..

I called at 5:15 this morning.  It is Indianapolis Newspapers.  I had just cancelled my subscription because they were going to double the price from $26 per half to $52 per half.  So I cancelled.

Hi, the 444 for Gannett is like the Indianapolis Star and News. Gannett is a newspaper conglomerate

The Star called me and previously I asked to be taken off of the list and told them I am unemployed like most people and could not afford the junk worthless paper that has all the same info on the news. But any way this time I asked for a supervisor and without cursing at them I told them to take off the list or I will consider the calls harassment. They said they would but just wait and see. For this issue I will NEVER get that stupid paper again.
