I have active communication with this gary powell if ur bro wants to take another shot at them!

Gary Powell sent me a check through fed ex! Amout 1990 told me keep 500 . An told me told me to money gram him the rest!!

This same Gary Powell with same number sent me a check via USPS in the amount of $2950. Want me to keep 500 as payment and send the rest to and address in the Philippines.  I knew right away its a scam. My brother happens to be a U.S. Marshall. He is putting a trace on the phone number and gonna catch this guy. I called "Gary" and asked if it was a scam. Gary told me to f#cm off. I called again and Gary threatened to come to my house, torture my family, kill them, and then kill me if I didn't stop calling him. I called him out on the scam and received those threats. Hopefully my brother can press charges on this do***e bag.

Just had an order placed with us for 1000 Tee Shirts under Bob Paul, they got the first one through but we caught the second one for 4000 Tee Shirts. The email address that was used on these orders was bobpaul176@gmail.com . It was being sent to a residental area. We called the credit card company that holds the card and reported it being used. They contacted the card holder on the phone to notify them and make sure they had not placed the order. Then they hung up on us.  We did what we could to notify the credit card holder.
They also emailed us again saying they we referring a friend.  His name was Scott Harshman, email address scottharsman11@gmail.com. This looks like an on going scam, and no one is doing anything about it. The phone number used in this is 331-222-9245.

Do not do business with this email.  SCAM!!!!!

A $3000-$5000 order isn't unusual for us, but thank goodness for the internet and other small businesses who take the time to post these scams!  No one else helps once we get those chargebacks.

Our email came from Gary Powell  garypowell205@yahoo.com - I gave him the quote, not thinking he would agree, but once he did, I started researching.

Red flags were that he wanted them shipped to an apartment building and doing a search for that name, which I'm sure is fake, just happens to bring up a guy with a nice long rap sheet in Columbus. Nothing about ripping off businesses or stolen credit cards.  It was this site that confirmed the scam.

I have also gotten messages like this for years and normally don't bother to respond.  When I have communicated with them I just tell them that we only ship using our shipping methods and do not allow pick up.  I never hear from them again.  My question is, they use a stolen card but how do they turn the merchandise into money once they have it?

I immediately thought scam because he got my email from my website which is a humorous shirt website. We don't really do a lot of commercial orders anyway. I quoted him an obscene price per shirt and told him he would have to prepay every bit through a secure link on my website www.killjoytshirts.com. And got crickets. haha

Are you sure this is a scam.  I had the same email.  He paid with a credit card and it went through.  I even shipped the shirts to the address he provided me with without any problems.  I hope I am not a sucker, as he just now wanted to place another order for 1500 white t-shirts to the same address.  I need to know what is or is not going on with this Rodney Pinder.  Thank you!

I received a call from that phone number 317-493-8360 said said was James Eric, they tried to order 400 spark plugs from me.. Like another person said they are scam artist and very bad ones at that. They gave me 2 different credit card numbers and 2 completly different names and addresses when I told them one credit card didnt work.

Okay, so they may have decided to leave the t-shirt business behind and move into industrial products....casters to be exact:

This guy ordered several hundred blank shirts for me... was a little suspicious after the order was placed because he was very adamant about getting tracking over and over and wouldn't stop calling/emailing. He then placed an "urgent" order this AM for 2000 white shirts (see email below)

I received same inquire. Email looked funky to begin with. Had the guy call me. New it was a scam as soon as I got off the phone with him

Not that any more evidence is needed, but I received an email from this same scam artist today. Michael Gratz is the name used.

Stay away from any orders placed by Michael Gratz with an email address of michaelgratz933@gmail.com and phone number of 1-317-493-8360.

Not only is this guy a scam artist, he's obviously not a very good one. My spidey senses were tingling the instant I read his initial email by the fact that he knew exactly what he wanted to order (which is unusual for an order this small), and that he claimed he found me on Google. My website doesn't even have the word t-shirt on it. Not a service I typically want to be found for online. So, there's no way he found me on Google, or "The Google" as the supposed Michael Gratz put it.

After calling "Mr. Gratz" and hearing a barely understandable foreigner on the other line, I knew Michael Gratz was not his real name. I then did a Google search for Michael Gratz Indiana and found only 1 professional listing. The number didn't match, so I knew that anyone placing an order like this would either be fraud or associated with a legitimate business and easy to locate online. Once I started trying to get more detailed information from this guy, it became more obvious that he didn't want to give me any. I asked Mr. Gratz for more information on his company etc. and all he responded with was Credit Card information.

I urge everyone who comes in contact with this scam to get the credit card info he is using and do the following:

contact the CC company and report the fraudulent attempt
contact the BBB and report the fraudulent attempt
contact the fraud protection division of whatever email address provider it comes from and report the email address
File a complaint with the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at http://www.ic3.gov/default.aspx

The person told me they want these for an event in Indiana and he wanted to give me a CC number over the phone. When I asked what they do he first said it was for his company and than said is for an event. Do not trus these people.

I have been recieving messages from guys like this for a while now. Be aware, they use diffrent names and email accounts. I have had many names come in with the same phone number attached. This pirticular guy has pore english and will try to place an order, request to pay with a credit card and pick up the order. I enjoy leting them think I will sell to them and decline at the last seccond. the more time they spend trying to chase down a deal, the less time they are out scaming someone else. The best way to make them stop hasseling you is to let them know your on to them. I even sent the guy a link to this page. The following is an origional message from Michael Gratz and my reply.

Gave him a price via email and he stated he wanted to proceed with the order.  When I called to get his credit card information the caller spoke broken English which was a concern.

He gave me a card #, with CVV, billing address, etc. but did not want the product shipped to him, he wanted them delivered to my business and then said FEDEX would pick them up.  This also raised a concern.  He insisted that I run the card while I was on the phone with him but I told him I would have to call him back as I needed my phone line to process the card.

Upon doing a Google search on the billing address he provided it was in California but the caller ID showed he was calling from Indiana.  

When I did a Google search on the phone # provided it came up with this site and the various scams as listed above.

I called him back and told him he was an a***ole and he deserved whatever he had coming to him.
