Working in the electronics industry, I've received numerous phone calls from telemarketers offering a free subscription to their magazine. Once you answer their questions regarding job function and products that you recommend within your company, you will receive their magazine but not before you receive numerous calls from other companies offering you a free subscription to their magazine. In the end, you receive lots of magazines filled with advertisements and very little content. Now I simply say I'm retiring at the end of the month and everyone leaves me alone ...everyone except the people at this phone number.

I work for a magazine and subscribe to our competitors magazines.  Yeah, I got one of these calls on my cell while I was on a conference call on my office line.  It is a major pain in the a**, but I know what it is.  They want the person that signed up for the magazine to answer a few qualifying questions.  Like what industry, job function, products etc. are you involved with.  This way the publication can share the "qualified" data with their advertisers and tout the list they are reaching and sell advertising in their magazines.  Sometimes they'll even sell access to the "qualified" list itself.   The biggest annoyance is the magazines often outsource to 3rd world countries that make the process cumbersome.

These jerks have only called once, but said they had to confirm employment--of the Big Boss, no less.  The Big Boss had no business dealings with that phone number.

These jerks are relentless.  They call and call every day.  They want to speak to the owner about a FREE magazine subscription.  Half the time he isn't here and doesn't want to speak to any one like a telemarketer.  I'm supposed to "screen" his calls and not forward any sales calls.  So, they keep calling back.  The last time they called I just said, "Look, if the stinkin' magazine is FREE, just send him the stupid thing and quit calling here.!!!!!!!"  What a bunch of idiots!!!!

I never answer any calls that I dont recognize and I certainly dont leave my answering machine on. it puzzles the hell out of me how they can put a man on the friggin moon and they cannot stop harrassment by phone. every encounter I have had the person always sounds middle eastern.. they are NOT from the USA.. trust me.. a long time ago before I changed my number I had answered and me and the guy got into it, he told me I was racist.. I said yes and it is people like you that make me that way.. he would not quit calling . I eventually changed my phone number.. that stopped it. I very seldom get any of these calls but when I do. I do NOT answer at all. these people are not rational.. they dont know what NO friggin means. they are idiots ..only advice I can give is DON'T  ANSWER THES A HOLES....

The number says it's from Indianapolis, IN, but you can tell by their voices that it's a call center somewhere in India.  They, along with some other numbers keep calling our business line.  I've stopped actually answering all calls, and told anyone here who gets  a spammer call to transfer to me, and I spend a few minutes wasting their time and money (and pissing them off) with soundboards.  The Postal 2 soundboard is great, because one of the characters you can use is a Hajj, but the voice sounds just like those a**-holes spamming from India.

Hung up before I could get my cell out of my pocket as I was driving.  After reading here it is most likely a mag. renewal, I added them to my "do not ring" list which is comprised by anyone that can't wait for three rings.

Received numerous calls form this number over the past week or so.  No messages left.  Comes up subscription on caller id.

I have received several calls from 317-559-5608.  Most of the time, they hang up when I answer the call.  I have tried to return the call only to get to an "invalid number" message from my provider.  When I finaly spoke to someone, it turns out to be a subscription renewal service.

Have been receiving calls daily from this Indiana based area code to a business line.  Telemarketer

this is a bogus number says it is not available when you call back the number... obvious scam

Called my work phone 3 times yesterday and again today. I answered and they said my name and that it was about a free magazine subscription. I said "this is a place of business, I don't need any magazines" and hung up.

Got the call at work and let it go to voicemail. No message left. I made a note so next time I'll answer and ask to be taken off the call list. We'll see if they comply.

Relentless calls on a work line from these guys, at least 3-4 per week. They ask for an employee who's no longer here, then offer to talk to anyone. Won't say what they want if you directly ask them.

"SUBSCRIPTION" IS WHAT CAME UP ON CALLER ID, PERSON WHO SOUNDED LIKE TELEMARKETER STARTED TALKING...I HUNG UP.  THIS IS A BUSINESS LINE.

I got the same call today.

Call came in to my work phone from 317-559-5608 Indianapolis IN.  I let it go to voice mail.  The voice mail "message" was background noise, sounding like an office of telemarketers talking to their customers...
