Got a call from this number recently. I think it's the same tele-scammer that calls me at least once everyday (Monday - Friday), usually around the same time, but with a different number each day. I don't answer, and they never leave a message. My policy is that I don't answer the phone unless it's from someone I know. Plus, I won't hear the ringer anyway ... I have the normal ringtone set to a very silent ringtone. Only friends, family and contacts have regular ringtones, so I'll hear when they call and I'll answer the phone for them. Oh, and I have any unknown numbers set to "automatic reject" so they won't even get a chance to ring my phone! I used to really hate these tele-scammers, but now I get a little satisfaction knowing I've wasted some of their time! Maybe if more people do like I do, the tele-scammers will only be wasting the time and resources of the telephone service providers, and then, maybe the service providers will take some action against them. One can hope....

They called.  I picked up and then set the phone down by the speaker playing some Buddy Rich Big band music.  They seemed to stay on the line a few minutes then hung up.  Guess they don't like jazz.

I received a call just minutes ago.. did not call back.. but a month ago this same number called my cell and it was a recording for a class action law suit against the makers of Yaz birth control.. I ignored it and they didn't call back... I just put the number on my blacklist on my cell phone and now it won't even ring when they call

They are trying to gain information & money by luring people into their scam. They are a fraudulent company & they do not read these posts. People should call the Federal Government Do Not Call Registry & file a complaint against them. The # is (888) 382-1222, it takes less than 30 seconds.

just got a call from this number on my cell. they left no message. I won't be returning the call nor will I answer. If you want to talk to me you must leave a message and I will decide if I will call back.

Through a voice mail & by using President Obama's name, the IRS, etc...this company tries to lure people into paying them money through deceit. It is fraud & EVERYONE should register a complaint against this company. One option is through the Do Not Call Registry at (888) 382-1222.

I answered and they hung up.  I called the number back and they say they are a telemarketing firm. Whatever.

I am on the do not call list, yet still received a call from this a-holes.

You r correct this is a SCAM. IRS will only contact by U.S. Mail not by telephone don't be a fool. These are big time thieves. Have had plenty of scammers calling me I can tell and never give any info. If it is true tell them to send u certified proof and u won't here another word again guaranteed.

Yes, just call the FTC on theses boneheads and if enough people call in then maybe they (the authorities) will do something about them !!!

if you owe taxes the goverment will send you something in writen . do not answer.

They called my cell and left message about back taxes.  I have no back taxes so this is just a scam.

I just got a call from this number as well. I never had any back taxes that I am aware of, I haven't even filed this year's yet because I am missing a W-2 and will have to file the long annoying paper method by mail due to a company I worked for last year being out of business and no way of getting in contact with them...

Stupid call. I almost pressed 1 to talk to them just to say I don't have any and to not call anymore, but realized that will be opening a can of worms and my instigate them into harassing me... so I will just ignore

I just go a call from them. Didn't answer as I didn't know the number. I just did my taxes a week ago at HR Block I was wondering if anyone else has done that also.

I have received several calls. They are rude and hang up when you have questions.

I got a call from this number, stating "President Obama wants to help me with my back taxes" (phsh yeah right) Then I pressed 2 to talk to someone and was told I had to leave a message. The best part is I DO NOT OWE BACK TAXES. I am just wondering what the scam is and what they have to say.
DO NOT give them your SSN or any personal information. If you truly do owe any back tax money, you will be informed by the IRS. I gurantee they will let you know. (And the President doesn't have a care in the world to try to work with you on "cutting it in half" like the call also states.) The Government wants their money so if you owe it, they will get you.

I have received a cal from this number stating that President Obama wants to work with me on my back tax debt. Problem is, I am unaware of any back tax debt. Has anyone else received a call from this number?

Hollywood,  they aren't Telemarketers but obviously scammers trying to get you to hand over the bucks.
Anyone that contacts you concerning taxes owed,  and try to collect over the phone,  are thieves trying to scam you.  The government will contact you by good old granny  US Mail.  
( Incidentally  Telemarket=Telephone Sales of Goods or Services)   Most of these types of unwanted callers aren't actually calling to legally sell goods or services.  Some may act like it but are usually planning to scam your ASSets..They  are called Thieves.
