I just got a text from this number asking for my address and name an he will pay for shipping. It's a scam don't do it!

SCAM/ FRAUDULENT NUMBER!!!!! do not trade, sell, purchase with this number.  I am working a Fraud Case regarding this number and will try to prosecute.  This individual used this number to fraudulently take money from a victim in my County (Franklin Co. TN) The victim like most was selling an item online through Craigslist. The victim was Contacted by the the individual requesting money for shipment.

It's a scam out of Indiana. Most of the time they find you selling on Craigslist and try to get your paypal information.

Had this number try the same scam about an electric wheel chair I put on craigslist. Glad this forum is here. Got the same "I'm handicapped" story. His grammar is awful - he texted me and it was difficult to figure out what he was really saying - so this forum helped - thanks.

I just received a text from this number--I live in Texas so I always search area codes to find out where I'm calling back.  Looking for a wedding photographer for his daughter's wedding on 12/16/12.  Given the broken/improper English I figured it was a scam.  We are getting more and more scammers using weddings as a way to over pay w/ a bad check and look for us to pay their vendors.  I texted back just to play along. :P

I received e-mails from a Craig's list ad I posted in the Cleveland Ohio area. The person claimed to be handicapped and could not come to see the item in person, but would arrange for shipment. They asked for name and address. I did not provide and asked for their personal information and the e-mails stopped.

Today I received text messages from this number with the same story. They asked for PayPal info this time. I said I'd rather meet face to face to close the sale. I also tried to call the number and there was a recording that said this Google subscriber is not available. I left a message but don't expect to get a call back.

SAME THING TO ME WELL GET HIM/HER,!!!WE TAKE THIS VERY PERSONALLY!!

Got a text from this number also. I am selling a wheelchair van. They said they agreed on my price and wanted my PayPal info name and location. I totally felt uneasy about this. Glad I looked up this number.

I received a text from this guy about a truck I have for sale. I felt suspicious right away. He said he needed the truck and asking price was fine and to take down the ad. He asked for my name, email/paypal address, and my home address. I texted back saying my husband would call him with details and he did not answer. Meanwhile, I googled his number and found this site. What I want to know is how can he still be getting away with this, especially with Paypal!?

we also have recieved several text messages from this number wanting to buy our sink off of craigslist. what alerted me was that it was the same prefix as my sister-in-laws number (and we live 7hrs away in PA!) so i tyed in the number on bing and all this came up.  so glad we found this to know it was a scam. same story,  wants paypal and personal info!   why dont the authorities step in?!  horrible.

I received a text from this guy last night about a car I had listed on CL. I live just south of the area for the area code listed on this number. He insisted on getting my adress and paypal account. I told him if he wanted the car he should come see it andbring the money with him. Then he said he needed to get freight transportation arranged. I live less than a hour away. I knew this was BS. As I was telling freinds at work about it today they have all had an occurance with this number!!!! Watch out for this scammer!!!

Got several texts.  Knew immediately this person is a fraud when they wanted to buy a Craigslist item from me with PayPal.  I replied "Western Union".  Person replied back that they were a verified PayPal account and reminded me of the fraud on Craigs.  Yeah, I knew that, and replied "No PayPal".  I now have this number blocked on my phone.

Does anyone know who this is?

Got a text from this number, he/she stated that they were out at sea and wanted to buy my product for their brother in law for their birthday.  Was suspicious, glad I checked.  I didn't respond to the last text, they apparently got upset.  thank you for the posts.

lol he did the same thing to my husband except it was for his junk car and asked for my husbands paypal email to send the money and but we didnt get anything but a fake email and he threatened to take legal actions against me but when i called paypal they said there was no money sent from the guy and it was a scam

received a text message, lol, said he is handicapped, I hope he becomes handicapped for waisting our times, same story, asked for my paypal account, of course I'm not stupid. I'm in VA and he/she or maybe it is in Indiana.

Received a text from this number asking for my paypal account so he could send me payment for an item I have listed on Craigslist. He will arrange the transportation of this item. I believe this is a scam as I am in CA and he is in Indiana. Told him I only deal locally. Google paypal scams on Craigslist and this kind of communication happens all the time
