I do not have a student loan and these people called me after 9 pm. Isn't that illegal?
Now I have to go to all the trouble of getting a lawyer and suing them.

Someone from this telephone number has been calling my home number 4 to 5 times daily.   I don't know anyone at this location.

Someone grom the phone number continues to call even thought I have told them we are on the Do Not Call list.   The number they call from is 1.219.306.6077.

I get calls from this number all day long. No message is ever left. I find it very annoying and would like to have the calls stopped. Pick it up and no one answers. Who is it and why do they continue to call? It shows on the ID as SAC.

When you ask them directly "are you from Sallie Mae?" they say "we are calling about Sallie Mae" and never give you a direct answer!!!!

My fiance is receiving these annoying calls.  I have co-signed on loans with my sons who are behind by a few days but I do not reside with my fiance.  Somehow their system is linking us and trying to make some contact.  This is uncalled for when affecting so many who have nothing to do with the debts.  I intend to contact Sallie Mae and formally in writing attempt to have them take action to stop their collectors from performing these search tactics.   I will warn that a report will be made to the Better Business Bureau and I will indeed report them and trouble their reputation is whatever other way I can find.

i keep getting calls from these people supposedly they're with sallie mae but then i got a call from sallie mae i asked what the call was from and they had no record of anyone calling me . needless to say im not answering any more weird numbers

317-594-1043 is Sallie Mae calling about overdue student loans - even if the loans aren't overdue.  Block the number but be warned they have many more.  Since they began outsourcing their customer service has gone to hell.  At one time they were helpful and polite.  Not so nice these days.

Stop calling my number. I owe you nothing.

Calls keep coming as many a 4x a day, they have called 3x today and its only 10 in the morning.  No one on the other end. I usually ignore.

calls from 317 594 1043 regularly for nearly a year.  No message, nobody there, and no, I will not call them back.

I got several calls from this number...so I called them back to have it stopped.  I then found out that they are an outsourcing agency set up by sallie mae to collect funds if they are past due.  I explained that I already set up a forebarence with sallie mae. They edited my information and all is good now.  They stated they start calling after two months past due and will report it to the credit agency after four months past due.  I am glad I talked to them and would advise everyone to either call sallie mae or them back and straighten it out so that it does not afftect your credit.

I've been receiving these calls for months and reported the ones that have a number.  Several call whose number appears on my phone as Unknown. The sad fact is, I am 79 years old, disabled, live on Social Security and haven't attended school in over 20 years, and those fees were paid by my then-employer.  These people are calling about my Granddaughter who went to one of those specialty schools that promise a job when you graduate. The job, of course, didn't materialize. She has been working and paying her school loan for several years now. They have my number because at the time she was living with me. It doesn't matter that I try to tell these dolts that she doesn't live here; one told me it didn't matter. This was the phone number they had, and this is the one they will call until the end of eternity, or I die and someone shuts off my phone! I get three a day from three different numbers. I can't afford to add call blocker to my phone, it costs too much. So, I tell my great-granddaughter to ignore anything that looks like a toll call. That way, she isn't activating the caller. They don't say anything, so what does does it do to call me, over and over and over?

While I have Sallie Mae loans, I have them automatic deducted from my check so I know that they are paid....But these people said that didn't matter I still had to identfy myself so that they could check that the money is paid by my check each week.   Report them... FRAUD... Wanted my Soc. No. and my company where I worked.  Sallie Mae already has this info.

I receive about 5-10 calls a day from this number, starting from 8am to 9pm...  It's on my cell phone.  I never answer it, and there is never a message left.  But I have been receiving these phone calls since the Christmas holidays.. I have a Sallie Mae account, but as others have stated, it shows up as Sallie Mae USUALLY on the CID... My loan is not in default, so I'm not sure why they would call.. Though, Sallie Mae's customer service is HORRIBLE.  I actually had TWO agents on separate lines, calling for someone ELSE, and not me.  Hard to block, I've tried, and just another "317" area code calls....

Best way to deal with these calls is to answer and stay silent. keep em guessing.

Its a robo dial call from ACS. That's why there is hardly any one who picks up when you answer, the computer is trying to link the contact to an open operator in the call center.

I recived one call a day for the past two months.  I don't pick-up the phone and let the answer maching get the call but now one live a message.

How to stop them?

I keep getting these calls all through the day.  I did try back and all I got was static.  Whoever this is, needs to stop.

every time i got a call from they numbers ( 866-932-6805, 866-932-6750, 317-594-1043, 888-272-5543) i block it on my phone so! next time they call me the call will be redirect automatically to my voicemail so they just listen my number but not my name lol

They call themselves "Student Assistance Corporation."  According to a representative, it's the default department of Sallie Mae and is not a third-party collection agency.

It is Sallie Mae calling about student loans. Yes, they call me everyday. They will stop calling if you answer the call and work things out with them. They have been nice to me everytime i've called them

Just got a call from them.  They told me they were collecting for Nelnet, which is another student loan company.  All they asked me for were my street and e-mail addresses.  Told me I still had a balance with them even though I'd thought that I'd consolidated that one.  Okay, maybe true, my loans were scattered to the four winds.  So, they're e-mailing me a forbearance form.  Then, when I go on the nelnet site, it says that they can't accept payment or show a balance because my loan must've been paid off (like, when it got consolidated).  Soo ... now I'm gonna look at this forbearance form and try to figure out why their system is so outdated.

Was calling my house nearly every day while I was not home.  Finally one day my daughter answered it and they asked for my husbands ex wife. (Which as never had this address or phone number).  I called back and explained with irritation the situation.  They man was very nice and apologetic and removed my number from her account.  Yet, he could not give me a reason why my phone number was linked to her.  I have not received any calls since then.

Constant calling - multiple times a day. Number is on national do not call. Information points at debt collector. My bills are current!

These people are terrible!  I actually called them back after seeing their number come up on my phone and politely asked the girl who answered to take my number off their call list as I do not have any student loans.  She immediately started arguing with me!  After a few more requests to cease and desist calling me, and her arguing with me, I finally yelled at her and hung up!  Whatever I can do to make them stop calling me, please let me know.

I also receive this number in my recent calls, never get a msg and often times they call while im at class (9:30am)and i have never taken out a loan with anyone. My boyfriend has loans with them but they seem to think it's appropriate to call all members of his family or social network just to get ahold of him which seems completely inappropriate to me. Either way, it's annoying...
