The phone rang and when I answered they hung up.

The # showed up on my caller ID on 6/18 at 3:53pm, along with the name "T Eldridge".  No message was left.

this number called 2 times within 1 1/2 hours.  we are on the do not call list, but obviously it is not working as stated.  this number is not a recognized number to us and we do not wish to receive calls from this indiana number in the future.

Received a call from this number.  I always pretend to be the babysitter - they said they were a charity and would call back later.  In the past, I've been told that "charities" do not have to abide by the DNC list.  

I do no contribute to the Indiana State Police or any other police fund since I've learned that they use a telemarketing company to solicit donations and aren't actually real officers calling.  Unfortunately, I cannot add the number to block list since it's already filled with other scammers.  I'm just thankful I have Caller ID!

They ask for my son, and say they are the police. These people call and are very rude asking for money....then they hang up and call back when i tell them no, I give to a local charity.

Please do, impersonating an officer over the phone can cause a lot of problems with people. They could make someone believe they real a police officer and that people need to do things because of that false lie. Get these people outta here!

Calls and said this is someone from the police department, says they will call back later. Impersonating a officer is Ludacris. I don't want to get upset but that is not a joke to me or my family. Get this person outta here!

Keeps calling our number and no messages - believe it is for donations of police fraternal order and we have requested to be removed so many times.  Pathetic!!!!

This party will call, and no voice at the other end ... once you answer the phone,  they will hang up right away.

Really? I've given to these people 3 times now. They don't actually say they're the state police.  They say they are with the FOP. And I haven't given to them in the last 2 years since I been out of work disabled and they keep calling and calling and calling.  They are very annoying when you DON'T give them money.  Like you'll just pay them off so they don't call you for a year.  After the constant calls I don't think I'll ever give to them again. I do still however give to the Indiana Sheriff's association as I know they're legit and they NEVER call my house!

It's a scam anyway. Those people only have to donate 1% to the charity in order to use their name. Ask any policeman. They will tell you they would not donate to these scam artists at all. All you have to do is ask for the name of their contact at the police department and they will hang up on you.

When I answered, they hung up on me.  I don't want to see this number again on my caller ID.

I work for Indiana state police.  This is not Indiana state police.  State police are state funded which means they are not allowed under any circumstances to solicit money.  Any person can say make up an organization name (Indiana state police dog fund) or whatever.  They then can legally call and solicit money for their made up organization.  Any money collected by these scammers go right in their pocket and no where else.  Never ever give money to anyone that calls you and asks you for money.  Never ever.

received a call today at 1:00pm. Left no message.

From what I have read and found thru the white pages, this is the State of Indiana Police looking for a donation.  I get this call about once every month or month and a half.

I asked the Sheriff once if he would give them any money. He said, no, just flush it down the toilet, it has about the same chance of benefiting any fallen police officers.

Received a call from 317-626-9982 and the voice on the other end said, " charge has been complete".
They hung up immediately.
I suspect the caller might be bating, wanting the call returned just to find out what charges they are talking about and that is when the charge takes place.
I could be wrong but it seems plausible to me.

Mine came in as an indianapolis area code.  They have called before to get donations for the police department.  Which department or what state or nation is still unknown.  They also use other area codes.  I just didn't bother to write them down.  Also, I don't pick up any longer because I have compiled a list of telemarketers and scam numbers.  I keep this by the phone and in alphabetical order.  I am retired and have a lot of time on my hands.  

No message; no response.  Caller simply hangs up as soon as phone is answered.  We are on Do Not Call List.  That means, "do not call."

Doesn't work that way. They are not calling from the area in which you think. They are using a scrambler type system and can call you using any number they want. I received a call from a local business who would never do such a thing and it wasn't even a message from the business. It was about the home alarm system scam bullsh*t. They are nothing but low life humans with nothing better to do that ruin peoples day because they were born into a incestuous family and they have to take it out on someone.

I personally would love to decapitate and disembowel them and hang them by their feet with their own intestines. They are invading my privacy, security and peace of mind. ANYONE who is a threat should be dealt with accordingly. For the record the punishment I mention above is tame to what I would really want to do to them ALL!

Calling my landline, I didn't know the number so I did not answer. There was no message left. 4-22-2014

Calls land line frequently. Do not recognize number. Do not answer.  Very frustrating!!

317/626-6992 Caller hangs up if VM answers, as does numerous calls we get on our landline, now getting a few on cellular.  I believe they computer-dial several numbers, then only respond if a "real" voice answers.  We have all of our phones registered to the NO CALL LIST, which in my opinion is a BIG JOKE.  Search no call list and you will find there is more calls they 'allow' than they 'block'.  My local police dept told me "there's nothing we can do, these are computer tech people, and we have no knowledge of how to stop them"!  Hey, how about educating your officers so they are more computer knowledgeable and be able to trace these calls, raid the offices from which they originate and STOP them?  In the area where I reside, the police are way-more focused on teaching their officers to speak Spanish!!  I think that's a bit backwards, no discrimination intended, but if you want to live in America, YOU learn English.  AMEN...end of rant, thank you.

We received a call from this number, at 6:17 pm on April 16th. Caller ID read "wireless caller."  We are on the Do Not Call list.  Not recognizing the number, we let the answering machine take it.  No message was left.

THis number was on my caller id . i do not know who it is and do not care ,i am just tired of them  calling my number i will ress charges . a family member is a lawyer i am going t get in touch .

This is definitely a scam.

got robocall from 712-455-8402 caller ID said "INDIANA" on Tuesday 04-15-14 @ 1138 AM.

Phone rang twice and I picked up and was disconnected right away.
These SCAMMERS do not have their phone act all together. That is good for john Q public.
