hey I just got the same call today
| Gus 2011-06-06 20:45:59 Unknown |
Called my cell phone with an automated recording about reactivating an ATM card I don't have. It's spam. Someone needs to shut this company down.

I just received a phone call on my cell, which I do not give out. A recording told me that my bank card had been deactivated, press 1 to reactivate the account. I pressed 1 just to see what would happen and it asked me to enter my 16 digit credit card number. I did not enter my card number. Instead, I went to my local branch ATM and my card does not appear to be frozen. I will report this to my bank tomorrow as it appears to be a phishing scam.

Recieved a call from this number indicating that my Ohio State Bank ATM had been cancelled and prompted for me to put in my card number in order to reactivate the card.
I disconnected the call and made contact with the Ohio State Bank. I was advised by bank staff that it was a known fraud that was currently being investigated the number returned to a number out of Indiana.
Be aware this is a scam do not give out any information. If contacted refer back to your bank for questions.

I get such calls from this number about some ATM card, but I do not have anything to do with any such bank period. This is a FRAUD, so be aware!

I received 2 calls at 3:30 am from this number on 03/20/2009. The second call got disconnected right after I picked up. When I called back to complain I received a message indicating that the subscriber is not available. Interestingly this number is listed to Ultimate Medium Communications but it cannot be reached.

This number has called my cell phone twice, once very late at night. An automated message says this is First Harrison Bank and that I need to press 1 to reactivate an account. I have no accounts at any such bank. I rarely give out my cell number.

I work at a bank in Wisconsin and many of my clients have gotten this call. IT'S A SCAM!!! Please remember that a bank will NEVER call and ask you to verify an of your account information. We are the ones who issued the account and debit card numbers, so obviously we already have them on file. Call your local bank to let them know the scam is going on in your area!
THANKS!

Received three telephone calls between 0230 and 0330 the morning of Wednesday, 11 March 2009. Answered third call - no one there, no message. The Caller disconnected after about ten seconds without so much as a peep or a beep. My spouse, 140 miles away, also received three calls at during the same timeframe.

Called twice at 3:30AM and my number is on the do not call list.

Called my cell phone three times starting at 3AM. I am on the Do not call list. I ignored the first call and picked up the second call, thinking it might be important (a second call suggests desperation). No one on the line when I answered. After the third call, I turned off the phone. I lost about an hours sleep and am not very pleased by this apparent random dialing algorithm.

Called my cell twice, though the number is on the Nat'l Do Not Call registry. An automated message left in my Voicemail told me to "Press 1 to reactivate my account", though I have no such account with this company.

Called a backup number that I never give out and left an unintelligible recorded message.
