this lady calls me i tell her i dont have anything was very nice.. called me the next month...i didnt mean to hang up on her ...she called my voicemail back and sounded like a sailor ...she is gross and foul!  i will not respond to her ever again! dont let the old lady fool shes nuts!

Yup, the lady called me today and hung up when I asked who was calling. I think I will take Amvets off my list of people we donate to. Really rude!

This woman was unbelievably rude.

Caller: "Hello.  Is this Mrs. ____?" *very sweet tone*
Me: "May I ask who's calling?"

*her tone completely changes*

Caller: "Can I speak with Mrs. ____?"
Me: "May I ask who's calling?"

Caller: "No you may not.  Can I speak with Mrs. ____?"
Me: "Only if you tell me who's calling."
*click!*

I work in customer service and she clearly has no concept of it.    If this woman, in fact, is a representative of AmVets, I couldn't be more disappointed.  While she may be efficient (whenever she gets to speak to whomever she's trying to contact), she could potentially hurt the number of donations they receive in the future.  I love this organization, however, I will ensure that she will receive no credit from my donations in the future.

the solicitors are not aloud to take anyone off the list, please call the amvets office at 3227903 to be taken off the list, the solicitors was told not to do this,  this solicitors is a very experienced solicitors and is an asset to our company, does a very good job.

Caller asked for mrs richey, when I asked who was calling, the caller said "I just told you" and hung up.

So I am not alone in the way this lady treats me?  We are frequent contributors to AMVETS and have never had a problem.  However, based on the call I received last night and again this morning, unless swift corrective action is taken by AMVETS, we will:

1) NEVER donate to them again.
2) File a police complaint for abusive and harassing phone calls.

the no call list does not apply to amvets, amvets is exempt from the states no call list, please call the amvets office to get removed

very nice amvets telemarketer, leaves very nice messages to remind me. she was the sweetest person and always says godbless you.

HELLO,  I DONT KNOW WHAT ALL THE STINK IS ABOUT, BUT THIS WOMAN, IS THE NICEST WOMAN THAT HAS EVER CALLED MY HOUSE FROM AMVETS.  SHE JUST TALKS LIGHTLY AND PEOPLE PROBABLY DONT HEAR HER WELL ENOUGH,  SO GIVE HER A CHANCE, SHE IS VERY NICE AND WILL WORK WITH YOU TO GET YOUR PICK UPS PICKED UP PROPERLY.

caller spoke to my husband, he asked who was calling and they told him that it was not his business and that she asked for ms. evangelista.

very nice lady, does her job well, and follows all directions, her company ask her to do, very good solicitor. just a lot of men dont like her asking for the lady of the house, because most men these days are the  lady of the house.

Called ask for the Mrs. of the house. I replied she was not in town, and asked to take a message. She smerked and hung up. Hates men, I think she does...

Asked for Mrs. Tyler. Would not speak to my husband and hung up. We are on the "so called" no call list!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I get calls from this phone number every few months.  We like donating stuff to AmVets because it is a very convenient way to get a tax deduction, but this lady is incredibly rude.

1.  When she asks for my wife and I ask who is calling, she refuses to respond.

2.  When she asks for my wife and I indicate my wife is not home, she hangs up.

3.  One time, she asked for my wife, so I set down the phone for a second and then spoke in a high-pitched voice as if I were a woman.  She bought it hook, lin, and sinker.  We made arrangement for AmVets to come pick up some stuff, and she was very polite from that point forward.

Maybe she just hates men.  Is there a way to contact AmVets and let them know what is going on?

We confirmed tonight that this is an individual representing Amvets.  We did notice that is sounded like the caller was in a call center, so it is possible that they work for several other companies too.

Sounded like an older female who wanted to speak with Mrs...  

She said she would call back and hung up the phone.  

Is this Amvets?  We get regular calls from them.  Somehow, we ended up on their list, yet we have never donated to them.

ELDERLY LADY CALLED AND ASKED FOR THE LADY OF THE HOUSE. WHEN I ASKED WHO WAS CALLING SHE DID NOT SAY AND HUNG UP.

Samething just happened to me.  Hung up when i who was calling.

Elderly woman asked for my wife - told her she wasn't home and she hung up.

Caller asked for my wife and when I said she wasn't hope they just hung up.

No comment - just wanted to know who was pestering me...

I'd urge everyone recieving calls from this woman to visit the Indiana Attorney General's website and file a complaint

We rec'd a call on 2/17 from this #, similar to Josh's situation:
1. She asked for Mrs. (our last name), I asked who is calling.
2. She said I'd like to speak to Mrs. ().  I asked who is calling. She then hangs up.

Several years ago my parents got calls from Amvets here in Indianapolis and the older lady was ALWAYS incredibly rude.
