Verizon called me.

I was told on the voicemail that this number is for a verizon bill that was returned to them and to call 800-837-4966. Interesting since we just moved next door and verizon has had our new address for the last month. In fact I have received a bill from them already so I dont know why one would have been returned. Even more interesting that earlier posts say that the number is for Verizon AND AT&T. . .

says this number is no longer in service when I call it back.

That number says "The subscriber you have dialed is not in service."

This number is for Verizon Credit Verification Center.  It is a legitimate caller.  The return number to call is toll free: 800-247-0732  If you have requested new service from Verizon, you may receive a call for further credit information.
