Calls, then doesn't leave a message.

received a call from this no.   didn't answer...who was it???

March 18 at 10:43 am called and left no message. Called back and got a wierd busy signal.

Received a call on my cell at 6:13 pacific.  I didn't recognize the number so I didn't answer.  WTF?

Got a call Tue 3/18 at 7:58 PM, no message.  Called back and heard electronic tones/noise in background and then disconnected.  Google's to a landline in Indiana - think it's very annoying.

rec'd call @ 6:29pm (west coast) on 03/18/08.  Just tried calling, got the message about the phone number has been disconnect or is no longer in service.

Called, left no message.  Tried to call it back and it was busy.  Tried again a few more times over the next few days and still a busy signal.  Called my wife's phone and she didn't answer it.

I'm reporting it.

It's a message in Spanish.  The voice says, "Congratulations, You have been selected. To claim your prize, press 2.  Within a few seconds, the recording stops and hangs up.

Received call from this number at 4.37 p.m. Not bothered to answer.

Called my cell phone at 9:38 pm on 18 Mar 2008; call went unanswered.  When I returned the call, it rang for 6 or 7 times before answering to a fax line.  I hung up.  Will be interested to see what charges show up on my bill.

This is a little eerie .. I recieved a call from this number at 1:45 pm, and again at 7:03 pm.  I looked up this site just out of curiosity.  But seeing the feedback, I really want to know what's up!

Just call a call from this number at 9:26 PM Utah time on 3/18/08.  Same experience as mentioned by other posts--automated Spanish message.

Previous post mentions calling back and receiving "could not complete international call".  Could be a well-known "balance of payments" scam that attempts to get payment from U.S.-based telephone companies for calls placed to an international number.  The foreign number owner splits the proceeds with the foreign phone company.  Saw this kind of thing before with calls forwarded to international numbers in Suriname in South America and also an island between Italy and Greece (forgot the name).

Got this call, too. Around 7:30pm PST 3/18. I called my cell phone company and reported it. The call is coming from Monrovia, Indiana. The Monrovia PD might want to investigate it. They're a really small town outside of Indianapolis.

Received the call from 1-317-996-9988 at 7 p.m. today on my company phone - no one there, just a recording in spanish.

Didn't know number, ignored it.

Same thing just happened about a minute ago, got a call from this number, loud background noises, foreign language, then nothing.

Missed the call on my cell phone and tried calling back twice. but got busy signal.  Unwanted call!!!!

Call (translated) says, "Congratulations! Your number has been selected as a winner. To claim your prize now press 1." Obviously an attempt to scam Spanish speakers. An internet search says that the number originates in Monrovia, IN.

Just got the call a little ago, my mom got it last night, no response for her, for me the spanish crap. We both just got brand new t-mobile numbers, is anyone else using t-mobile?

Received the call at about 7pm and didn't make it to the phone in time. No message was left. I tried to call it back but hit a voice recording saying that my 'international call' could not be completed. I also tried dialing it differently and it came up with a recording saying it was 'disconnected' then a third time with only beeping. POed because this came through on my cell phone.

Just got the same call.  Garbled spanish with hissing/crowd noise in the background. Spooky.  Perfect set-up for a horror film. Hope they call again I'll listen more closely. That is... If I live that long.

I didn't recognize the number so I wasn't stupid enough to answer it.  No VM left.  Not stupid enough to call back either because everyone knows this is the way they determine who is answering the number, duh.

received call at 9:00.  Spanish speaking.  WE have three cell phones and alll three have received this call.  Who is it?????
