I wonder why they call and leave no message-we are on a do not call registry-the only ID on this call is Shreveport

Keep getting calls from this number on my cell.... Wonder why also bc they should not be callimg me either???

My residential phone number is listed in the phone book.
When I answered the caller asked for Mr AND Mrs (my last name).
When I asked him who was calling he said "(his name) with Public Appeal" then again asked to speak with Mr AND Mrs (my last name) so I asked what it was regarding, he didn't answer my question, he just responded by asking again if Mr and Mrs (my last name) were available.
When I replied, not at the moment, he said thank you bluntly and hung up.
I'm sure they'll call back, I probably won't answer.
I suspect it's either soliciting donations for some "policeman's association" or some political pitch as I've been getting a lot of fully automated calls from senators and representatives lately.

And they wonder why my phone stays on Do Not Disturb 99% of the time...

YES, this is the Police/ Firemans fund.  They are calling to get donations.  Once you give it, forget about them ever leaving you alone even though you tell them you cannot donate.  It's like a cancer.  Can't get rid of it. SORRY.  Also in the future they also call under the ID of PUBLIC APPEAL. Good luck all

this is getting to be very irritating, I know the phone companies can do someting about this,,, my machines picks up on the second ring, I call back and get no reply

this number has called my cell several times a week for several months now with no one on the other line.

We're running a very busy business, with very busy phones, and this number has called twice in the last 3 minutes, noone on the line either time.   Please stop.

Yes, I agree!  Whoever this person is needs to identify himself/herself and the nature of the call.  The caller doesn't answer or leave a call-back number or message.  This is very aggravating to some elderly or terminally persons.  Does this person or entity have any scupples?

Caller has called my house twice. When the call is answered, the caller doesn't speak no matter who answers. When we call back, the person cannot be reached or the mailbox is full. We don't know how they got our number or what they want.

The number just called my house, said my name, and hung up after I said hello three times.  Today is the first time this number has ever called.  Can someone tell me who it is and why are they calling?

They call and there is no one on the other end. If I call back I get a message saying that the party is not available and to leave a message. It is very irritating.

They keep calling my cell phone but when I answer they hang up.  Very few people have my cell phone number.  I can't imagine how they could have gotten it.

They call me every night and don't leave a message. I haven't been around my phone to pick it up. Wish they would stop calling though!

HAve been getting calls from this number and they leave nomessage but call back about every hour-I believe it to be the Police Officers Union as well although I have asked them to not call me as I am not able to give them any donations-this is very irritating that they still call-

The number called my house, caller ID said it was from Shreveport LA. When I answered no one was there.
