Jefferson Capital Systems, LLC, a collection agency for everything from Fingerhut to payday loans.  They are reported on about every rip off report site also.  Be careful what you agree to!

Oh, and they use multiple numbers when calling.  320-229-8095, 877-262-0002 and UNKNOWN are the ones I know.

I get calls from them two and three times per day !

Hi, I do have a debt and these people called me to set up this transfer deal when I get paid a certain amount of money to them so that the amount I owe will be cut a little.  They sent me papers in the mail too as to what the deal is on how much I need to pay and this and that and I was actually considering maying this until I started reading this.  Is there any way I may ask that you help by telling me what is it that I should write them because I actually agreed to do this with them and now I know for sure I don't want to after reading your message?  Any of your help would be greatly appreciated!  They call nonstop it seems.  I know they call starting at 8am and stop at 9pm.  I have to just some days unplug my phone they call so many times a day.  I even thought of changing our number cause I know they call several times a day and I can't handle it anymore.  I know you mentioned sending the certified letter noting the violation but is this all I should do besides that and mentioning that I no longer want to make these transactions after agreeing and finding that they are a fraudulent and misleading company because they also agreed to setting me up with some Emblem credit card when I reached a certain amount of payments.  I just can't deal with this they are really out of control with these calls and letters and it's affecting my everyday life and that's pretty bad!  If you happen to see this message and would like to help give any info. please email me @ rnolascoreyes@yahoo.com and put credit in caps as the subject so I know it's you and thank you so, so much for all your input and help!!!!

This number just started calling my phone twice a day since yesterday out of no where. I dont answer. But when i called it back it was for Jefferson Capital Systems. Whom i'm currently making payments through. The number i have for them on my statement is 1-800-542-6516 & their address is 16 McLeland Road St. Cloud, MN 56303

What if I do have a debt with them?  I'm currently making payments to Jefferson Capital...

Here's a website which contains some good examples of Cease Communication Letters. Just select the one which is appropriate for your situation, fill in the blanks and send VIA Certified Mail. Request a return receipt and keep copies of everything.

This is Jefferson Capital Systems LLC.  Address: 16 McLeland Rd., St. Cloud, MN  56303.  They buy old debts and try to "con" the debtor into payment with false, misleading "teaser" letters that appear similar to credit card offers.  They fail to check to see if the debt is legally collectible (i.e., not already paid or discharged in bankruptcy).  If you get a note from them, send them a response via certified letter, noting violation of the Fair Debt Collections Practices Act. If they persist after you have responded, go after them in Small Claims Court, and treat yourself to thousands of dollars in actual and punitive damages.

We receive phone calls from compucredit 3 or 4 times a day.
Always "unknown" caller at first, when we answer there is no one there.
Then about 2 minutes later we get the compucredit phone call in which there is a voice recording tell us to wait for an operator which sometime never comes. We talked to them once, but they wouldn't even say who they were calling for just. Asked me who i was, that makes no sense. You called me! They just want your information so they can make up some Outrageous bill that you don't owe.

They call several times a day, as early as 8:00 AM and as late as 9:00 PM.  They also use multiple numbers!  877-262-0002 and UNKNOWN also have been calls from them.  They never leave a message and when I do answer, I get music and "please hold" messages.  I actually talked to a person once who claimed I qualify for a credit card to transfer my debt to.  NO THANKS!  I've seen multiple reports on rip off sites about this company and their very questionable practices.  Aren't there laws about times of the day they can contact you?

They called my cell too. I didnt answer it util learning who it was.. I actually have a debt.

I think the same thing happened to me...

At first I would get a call from them every other day, now it is 3 times a day.  It's really annoying that they call my cell number!

This company calls on my cell number- asking me to hold for an operator- when I got the first call, I waited-  they said I had a debt and I asked for an address to write requesting information about the debt.  She hung up- I called back and asked them to remove me from their list... they call every day at the same time.  I don't answer anymore!

I keep receiving the same call, keep on telling them they have the wrong number and to remove my number from their list, they say they will but never do.  So when i see there number show up, i just do not answer and i erase the message without listening to it.

they call repeatedly to collect debt. i was coned into paying then i realized that this company was fradulantly collecting a debt from me by promising to do a balance transfer that never took place

I didn't talk to them  yet, they call often but when we are not home. I hope it's some misunderstanding because we don't have outstanding debts.
