Cautionary tale:

My mom fell for this one. It never occurred to her to call my son back. The guy told her his phone battery was going down and she doesn't have caller ID.
I think they probably got his information from Facebook. A similar scam was attempted earlier when some of his friends got emails trying the same thing. He had to post on FB that he wasn't in London and he didn't need money.

watch out for the #320-289-6861 I see no one has been hit with this number yet, and I sympathize with all that has been targeted with numbers that try to contact family members, one tried thru my son and my mother looking for me luckily they didn't give out any info. My son reported it to the authorities.
