Simply stop payng them.   If you have an arrangement where they take money out of the bank, tell the bank to cancel your account and tell them that you've been defrauded.  Maybe they can reverse the transaction.

If there is a valid debt then they must send you a debt validation letter and it must be by US mail.   E-mail no good.

Report the matter to the local police.   Also report the matter to your local attorney general.

See:  https://www.consumer.ftc.gov/articles/0149-debt-collection

If you don't take action now, they or someone else will simply keep on bleeding you!

I got a call from J&J Law Group, Fred Jackson saying I owed a $350 debt in the state of California. When they asked me to confirm my name and social I refused, to which they got very mad at me. I yelled a lot and they ended the call saying they would contact me tomorrow. Then I looked the number up here and see that I'm not the only one getting this call. I'm glad I looked, I started freaking out. They say it happened in California in 2011, I left Cali in 2009. Told me it was for a pay day loan...and I've NEVER taken out a payday loan in my life, then he tried to tell me it was through my old bank Wells Fargo, I still have Wells Fargo so that's WRONG! Don't fall for this scam s***!!

I just want to take a minute to express my gratitude to Mike Jones at J&J Law Group for going above and beyond his duties and giving me a final opportunity to address an old loan I owed without the hassle of court costs and attorneys fee. I don't think many folks would have given thought to the happenings in my life the way he did. I am grateful.

I received a call from this # today. It was very hard to hear the company name that they claimed to be calling from but they informed me that I had a criminal complaint signed against me from a company called A Capital. I hung up because if there was a criminal complaint signed against me I surely would have received something in the mail and not a phone call!

I am having the same problem and could not figure who is always calling me but they are numbers i do not  know.. So do not pick up. This just happened in the last 3 days so ,got also a email from national credit services LLC and they said i owned a couple of payday loans but as far as i figured just a couple of them were on the email and never really got them approved from the company. There was not a couple of them i did have and they are paid off a year ago. I just do not understand people who do this scamming stuff how they really do not get a way with this unless you actually do go to the law about it or lawyers and charge them.I am a lady 66 trying to make it in this world on the little funds i have. I can not stand such stupidity. Thanks for my time in writing

You won't get taken to court - you've been contacted by extortionist scammers.  Debt is civil, not criminal, so even if you had defaulted on a loan, you cannot be arrested for this!  More here:

Extortion Scam Related to Delinquent Payday Loans

Washington, D.C.
December 07, 2010  FBI National Press Office
(202) 324-3691

The Internet Crime Complaint Center has received many complaints from victims of payday loan telephone collection scams. Callers claim the victim is delinquent in a payday loan and must repay the loan to avoid legal consequences. The callers purport to be representatives of the FBI, Federal Legislative Department, various law firms, or other legitimate-sounding agencies. They claim to be collecting debts for companies such as United Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Advance, U.S. Cash Net, and other Internet check-cashing services.

According to complaints received from the public, the callers have accurate data about victims, including Social Security numbers, dates of birth, addresses, employer information, bank account numbers, and the names and telephone numbers of relatives and friends. How the fraudsters obtained the personal information varies, but in some cases victims have reported they completed online applications for other loans or credit cards before the calls started.

The fraudsters relentlessly call the victim?s home, cell phone, and place of employment. They refuse to provide any details about the alleged payday loans and become abusive when questioned. The callers have threatened victims with legal actions, arrests, and, in some cases, physical violence if they do not pay. In many cases, the callers harass victims? relatives, friends, and employers.

I work for a loan company and received a call from them, wrong DOB, was a fake company stating they collect loans. One of my customers called me numerous times to state they are harassing her about her loan.
  They harvest information from the internet and places you have applied for loans, basically they get e-mail lists from people who applied for loans. The scam is simple;

1. You applied for something online, could have been a vacation, loan, anything.
2. They bought the list of information you placed in your online "profile" or whatever.
3. Then they attempt to collect said loan and unfortunately people pay them because they once took out a loan and could not remember if they paid the loan.

If you have paid them file a police report and a complaint with the Fair Trade Commission, NO ONE can arrest you!
If they continue to harass you tell them to hold on one moment while you turn on your recorder, you will hear a click and they will not call back.

They called me this morning as well, claiming that their "client" from Missouri has attempted to use six different collection agencies to collect a debt of $350 however they were not able to contact me.  They alledge the debt was from August of 2012 however when I advised them that I moved from Missouri in 2011, they placed me on hold.  They came back on and asked is this "my correct name" and "your social security number is--- -- ----" which was the correct number.  I asked them once again who they were and what was the name of their "client" which they denied telling me.  All they stated was that the collection is now a felony and they are going to pursue criminal charges, that I "better" get a criminal attorney.  I called the State of Missouri Attorney's General and filed a complaint as well as here in my current state.  When I get home from work, I am going to place a fraud alert on my credit.

Suggest that they buy a stapler if they're having trouble attaching documents to a form.

If there really is a 'docket,' then that is a judicial matter.  Call the state or county.  Otherwise, stop talking with this scammer - don't try to explain anything to them, don't act mad with them, just get off the phone, block their number, and continue your pursuit of happiness!

Got a call this morning that said the exact same thing that pretty much everyone above was saying. Mine was a recorded call though, not a live person. Saying that they had to attach papers to something. They didn't mention my name or what company they were with or anything. Just said to call 320-626-1046 by the end of the day. I mean this is ridiculous! Someone above was correct when they said they can't threaten you by phone. And I don't even know who was calling me b/c it was a muffled "this is so-and-so".....ugh!

Claim they sent out docs and they were signed for. I paid the amt since it was nominal, and I dint feel like the threats continuing, and states ill rec exoneration peek in the mail within 30 days.  But now I'm looking more into this, and may calk my bank to dishonor the transaction.

I just got a call from them and I have to thanks to my Visual voice mail because I'm hearing impaired and can't hear that well but here is what it said:
Hi, this is Ms. Mason, after reviewing the documents under the state case petition. We were unable to locate or attach your legal counsel information. Please call 320-626-1046. To attach your attorney information on this docket. It is your legal right for the common law requirements. I'm behalf of the pre-trial office. If you failed to comply and return this phone call. the state will move forward at that point in time for action will take place. I would strongly advise you to govern yourself accordingly.

well this person does not mention my name, did not say what state and I never file anything so I am not sure what they wanted but thinking 'money'.   come on scammer people, if you want money then get a job. There are plenty of jobs everywhere, scammers are just lazy.  Terrible isn't it.
