Called saying I'd "won" a contest that I'd never entered, and that it was going to be applied to an unspecified account.
Obvious scam is obvious.

Call came from John Paul Alvarez, Democrat, for State Representative District 53 Candidate. It is completely in Spanish. Does he not know that this is the United States of America and not Mexico? SPEAK ENGLISH or GO back from where you came!!!!!!

Missed a call from this number around 11:00 AM. They left a voicemail with one word I can't understand at the beginning and then silence for about 6 or 7 seconds. Very odd.

This is a solicitor, calling on my cell - which is OK to do I guess, now that the telemarketing companies have donated substantial funds to various legislators election funds. I added the number to my contact list and assigned a "no ring" ring tone. That way, all I hear is a little beep that tells me I have missed a call. When I name the contact I add two "z's" to the front of whatever name I choose. That way, the contact falls to the very end of my contacts and doesn't get mixed in with my true contacts.

Got a missed call from this number, but when i tried to call back, the operator said the call cannot be completed. I sent a text to the number, and it said it was a landline.

guy tried to sell me on the "local business listing". Told him never heard of them. Said there's a lot of things you've never heard of and then said have you ever heard of google and yahoo. He said that they refine google's search engine, told him that they do not. Said he is with looboo.com and something about bizfindersinc but biz with two zs and something else. Told him I would take my chances doing what I'm doing. Waste of time and these people are rude.

scammer trying to sell bogus yellow page listing. caller states he is just updating your current listing info. Beware these scammers are just trying to get your financial info to rob you.They know that the possibility of any law inforcement ever comming after them is slim. If agencys like the FTC would activley enforce the laws they create it would stop.
