Steven Vista with Blah-Blah Security Systems says there are reps in my area... interrupted him saying already have an excellent system then hung up as he continues talking fast as possible.

I scream and cuss at these losers. Being nice does no good.

We have caller ID and do not answer calls if we don't recognize the number.  And IF you answer and they start harassing you on the phone, HANG UP !!  Don't let people treat you that way.   Then get a horn or whistle and if they continue to call, blow out their ears.  The Do Not Call list is generated by the government which is there for businesses to use so they don't call anyone on the list.  Unfortunately too many are not honorable like they once were which is evident by the bad attitudes of those who disturb us in our homes with their foul mouths, knowing we have no way to trace the call back to them, thanks to the phone companies who sells banks of numbers to be used at random.  

Beyond making your report with the DNC, you have to handle things at the local level and make police reports to show harassment.  Insist they take a report since it is a criminal act (many will try to talk you out of it rather than be bothered with the paperwork).  That means you have to keep a log with date, time, and what was said (or that they hung up if you have caller ID and don't answer unknown calls but you can still log the call to the list.)  You also need to contact the phone company so they can send you out paperwork that you fill out and return to them with a COPY of the log you have kept (always keep copies of everything for your files, too).    If your log meets the criteria for harassment, the phone company will turn the information over to the prosecutor's office who will in turn notify both parties to show up for a meeting to work out the problem with the harasser being told to stop making calls to you.   Used to take police reports over the phone for these kind of calls and that's how it was handled in Franklin Co, OH.    What angers me is we pay for our land lines but have no control over these calls coming in with some being so few, the law won't touch them.  

Robo-calling scammers called twice today from this number. Yesterday they called from 321-402-1738. Blocked the calling numbers, but they keep rotating through different calling numbers (probably all spoofed numbers).

I answered for the fun of it so I could mess his mind, but the line just disconnected.   Too bad ...

I got a call from this number. Did not answer. Caller did not leave a message.

Got the same spiel from "Steven" but when I interrupted him and said I already had a security system, one that barked and would bite him if he entered my yard, he hung up on me.  I was tempted to call back but decided I had had enough fun for the evening.

Same as everyone else. Do like most people do, get an answering machine and make your message short, and tell everyone you know and would want to speak to to just say "Hello ---, this is ----" then you can pick up and talk. I had to do this as I get between 10-20 computer dialed calls every day (most repeats, some 3-4 times every day). The no-call list means nothing and these telemarketers know that so they pay no attention to it. I also do not like Senator Alexander from Tennessee but I think Senator Corker is OK, at least he answers my E-mail and acts like he cares.

Guy said his name was Steven Vista, with 21 absolutely free home security systems to give away in my area. Started in with some scare tactics about 15 to 20 land lines being cut outside people's houses every day, making their security systems useless. His company would install a wireless system.  Then he asked me if I had home security. When I said I don't answer questions about my home to strangers on the phone, he hung up.  

It did sound like a robocall, but it was a more sophisticated one than I've heard recently.  We never even got around to why the company was violating DNC.

Why do the people of the telephone services do better in finding out who is applying for service that

Annoying pre-recorded message about home security...i didnt listen long enough to see if a DNC option was available.

I saw the number on my caller ID - did not recognize the number - did not answer.  Easy fix.  Second easy fix - hit the answer button IMMEDIATELY followed by the end call button (or hang up).

Don't be too hard on Lamar Alexander. He is in the legislative system of government. The Executive Branch is in charge of the administrative aspect of the government. It supervises the operations of the different departments such as Finance, Social Welfare, Defense and others. It has direct control over the local governments units to ensure that the needs of the people are attended to by the public servants.

The purpose of the executive branch is to execute, enforce and administer the laws that Congress passes.

I'm on the DNC List and received a call from this number this afternoon.  When I called back I got the automated "If you would like to be removed from our calling list, press one now."  I did press one and then immediately heard  a dial tone. So I doubt that is a valid removal system.  I filed a complaint, wonder if it will do any good.

Calll came from 321-206-4229 and he said his name was Steven.  Was trying to sell having the land lines in the house replaced with wireless.  He wanted to have someone else call when wasn't interested.  

Have received several calls from 321-206-4229 the ID says Bob Dance. Requesting I return the call to discuss my healthcare!! My name is also on the Do Not Call List and I do not these calls!!!

Caller ID said Bob Dance, as soon as I heard the click signaling the start of their recording I hung up.

Republicans in Congress have stripped all the money out of enforcement with the Sequester.  Look what they did to embassy security - and then complain about Benghazi!  Sorry for the rant - this sort of legislation is meaningless if the Congress doesn't pass a budget to cover enforcement.

Caller did not leave a message on voice mail.  I called back that same number three times, line kept on having a busy signal.

Just got a call from this number.  Caller ID said DanceBob.  Trying to sell home protection.  

Steven Called for home protection.  I told him.. ' I have a S&W and a Mastiff'....DO NOT CALL AGAIN.      I then redialed his number and a message states "if you do not wish to be called again, press 1"    I did.   We'll see if he violates the do not call list again.
