Amanda from Equity Marketing called saying they had some combines wanting to buy timeshares for meetings and bonuses for their employees.   Guaranteed a sale within 6 months. I just had to make sure I was around to answer their phone call.    The only cost to me is $699 needed my credit card now so they can get started on the sales.   Offered me quite a nice amount of money yeah right this is another scam out there for people to watch out for. Said if I had any questions to call back 800-672-7034 x 242.  They are in Altama Springs FL and have been in business 8 years.

Mathew Downing calling to "sell" my points/weeks but for a significant fee.  When I said it was too much he said "You just don't HAVE the money & don't want to say it."  We exchanged several blows...he was very rude.  I contacted BlueGreen-THEY DO NOT CONTACT ANYONE to rent ANYTHING.  It is definitely a scam.  The scam-ing company is Resort Equity Marketing...  I hope they go bankrupt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Brandon Michaels called from REM Resort Marketing Group, wanting to purchase my time share "for a large profit." He left a message and I called him back. He said that a contract was signed in Florida that would bring huge corporate conventions to Orlando for the next 24 years, and that for $799, I could sell my time share for between 8-10 thousand dollars, or for the "premium plan" (for 1099 dollars) we could sell 6 of our 12 Interval International bonus weeks for $1500 each ($9000 a year). I asked him how it worked, whether we would get checks throughout the year or at one time, and if so, when. He didn't know the answers to any of my questions so he put me on hold to talk to his supervisor and came back on the line and still didn't answer my questions, but just fed me the same stuff over and over again. He was very pushy, saying that as soon as I gave him my credit card information he was going to walk down to the sale floor and get a buyer (yeah right). It just felt like a scam to me.

Different #, (866-967-0137) Definitely the same people. Spoke once and set up a call back a few hours later. I used the time to cruise the web. Based on what I've read, and seen on the site, it seems a legit business though prob'ly nowhere as good as advertised, (a salesman who 'guilds the lily'... go figure..). Anywho, ultimately decided to spin the wheel. Got in for part of the $995 up front and the rest pending the rental of my points. will update later with the results.. keeping my fingers crossed...

I read your blog on REM and was wondering where your time share was at? What timeshare company was it with.  I am concerned about them because they ask for money up front.

Call from Ryan wanting to sell our timeshare, rent it, or use our banked points.  Left message to call back @ 800-672-7034 X331.  I am reporting to DoNotCall list (obviously, they don't have a list or don't care whose on it).  I talked with the company I have a time share with and was told "Don't talk to them, it's a scam."  From the looks of all the comments on here, it is.  Some people need to get a real job!

the bbb is the biggest SCAM out there...! 1.) they dont investigate ANY complaints AT ALL!! proven FACT... 2.) they only give you a good rating if you PAY the bbb... for what?! to say good things about the company.... ppl are ignorant for thinking that by going to "bbb" is going to tell them if its a good company or not....
i signed up with REM 4 months ago... although i was a bit hesitant at first because i really didnt want to pay "upfront" i payed 895 anyways to give them a try. THANK GOD i did because i was really stuck financially and i finally just recieved my check for the sale... so i'll never buy a timeshare again... but i just referred my friend to REM. thank GOD no more maintance FEES!!! =)

Received a voicemail message from a Toby Morrison and he was calling in regards to my Timeshare with Woldmark Resorts to see if I was interested in renting or selling at a very large profit.  His direct number was 800-672-7034 ext. 260

No intentions of calling back, I'm more interested in HOW they got my number in the first place .. Worldmark??

A guy named Alan Lef (that's all the last name he would give me) called me and said he could rent out my time share for 2300 a week to corporate execs who wanted to vacation. Then he proceeded to ask without stopping will we be putting this on a major credit card or debit card? I immediately got suspicious and told him I had to do research about the company he worked for. He told me to go to www.rem2sell.com and see that they are listed in the BBB which I did. I still didn't believe it. Needless to say when I called him back he asked me about a husband I didn't have but claimed to have all the info about my timeshare. BEWARE!!!!!! Don't be fooled by these people. I thank God I wasn't!

I am so glad that I read info from this website as well. My husband and I got a call as well from this company stating that they could rent our property for $4100 a week (guys name was Alberto). Then a week later another rep called us (Penelope Miller) stating she could rent it for $6200 a week but we would have to give her and answer immediately as the price would drop. She also wanted to rent out our 1 bedroom unit in Hawaii which we do not have, we own a two bedroom unit. I knew it sounded too good to be true so I looked up the phone # she called me from 321-282-0600 and found this website. Thank you so much! It is a SCAM and I called and asked to be put on their do not call list

You do realize that a very large marketing company will have many different lines coming in and out. So whenever a nrep uses their phone, it may pick anyone of several phone numbers going in or out! That doesn't mean theres anything wrong! Call Disney have a rep help you, then have rep call you few times, you will see each timethe rep calls it's a different number simce they have so many lines! Come on, use your head, you don't sound too bright!

Hi
I`ve being getting calls for the last 2 weeks to advertise with REM. Now that i`ve being asking questions regarding the web site, all of the sudden their web site is under construction. I went on www.orlando.bbb.org for Better Business Bureau and it doesnt look good. They got an F .. LOWEST SCORE. So they are suppose to call me tommorow. And i got the answer for them... NO THANKS... and on BBB they say that they ask from 295. to 600. and to me it was 1200. but they brought it down to 995... So be careful...

Hi there .
Did resort equity sell your timeshare for you?  And did you get about what they said for it?  Curios thinking about going this route but of course worried about getting scammed.  They want my upfront $ before they send me anything.  Any info from you would be geat.  Also where is your timeshare located?
