UPDATE: received a call back from Nancy in HR, ( a name that I see has appeared on some of these other reviews). She assured me its a real company, and maybe all the agents are out in the field, but tomorrow the manager will be there for sure. She did say most of the jobs are sales commission type positions and that only managers make a salary. She was polite and courteous and I cancelled my interview, because I hate  sales and Im not good enough at them to live off a commission based income.

Found multiple numbers called a few of them with no help, left a voicemail with the parent company "American Income" I doubt I will hear back from them. Im going to assume this is a fake company or pyramid scheme since it is impossible to get anyone on the phone during regular business hours, and I highly doubt that all the offices are out to lunch at 3:30pm on a wednesday.

I also received a call from Mike Henderson who said he received my resume off Careerbuilder.com. I have great marketing experience and was sick of getting calls from sales job so I asked him straight up, he assured me this was a position that was soft sales working with unions for teachers, cops ect and my income WOULD NOT be competitive based. We set up an interview for tomorrow at 8:30 am with a Chad Mclaughlin.
I was feeling weird about it so I decided to call the number he provided me, its a general mailbox that is full. I called at 3pm on a Wednesday so any actual business would have at least an empty mailbox or someone answering phones. So I googled the address to find the company name and it led me to this site. I will NOT be going to the interview based on the years of reviews this "business" has on here. Im going to do more research and see what comes up, if anything at all.

I received a message from Edward from 321-304-2587 from the Henderson Agency. When I called back I got a VM for David, I LVM explaining I had questions and plan on expressing concerns from this forum. I've worked for a Health Insurance company up until last month, and all the other insurance agencies would not require you to work for free period, its actually illegal in the state of florida to work for any business and not be compensated. I doubt I get a phone call back, but if I do I'll update this. the return # was 888-875-7391

I went to an interview. i wasn't sure what the job was, but it turned out to be selling insurance. You have to get your licence for $99 which is half price, they say. Also you have to train one week for free. They said they would be setting up second interviews. They said you could make lots of money with out working a  lot of hours. I wanted to research the company and that is how I found your comments. i don't know what to think now.

Why should you turn up for an interview, when you've been told the job is in management or administration, and then when you show up, the job turns out to be sales?  If they don't have anything to hide, why wouldn't they just tell people upfront that the job is in sales?  Hmmm?

You can't have much of a brain if you're OK with being told the job is one thing and then they pull the bait and switch when you get there and find out it's for selling insurance!

I received a voicemail on March 26, 2014 from Matt Henderson Company for a position in customer service, management or marketing.  The callback number was 1-888-875-7391.  I called the number back the next day and left a voicemail.  No call back.  So, I called again today and a lady answered the phone, HR Department.  I told her what had happened and she said the position was for marketing and if that wasn't what I was interested in, then the job wasn't for me and hung up the phone.  What is this all about?

I received a call also for a Management position and set up interview.  But I could not understand the name of the company because he was mumbling, but I was driving and decided to say ok.  When I got home I looked up the phone number and address he gave me and found this.  So, I called back and asked exactly what position I was interviewing for and a job description and he started rambling and trying to avoid my questions.  Finally he said he was going to have Mr Henderson call me back.  Then I proceeded to tell him that before going to an interview I like to do some research on the company itself to better prepare for the interview.  He then said that I would need to speak to Mr. Henderson.  I told him this better not be a sales job for life insurance after you told me it was managing labor unions and if I wake my baby up at 6 in the morning to get him and me ready and pay for a babysitter I am gonna be really upset.  So he got really nervous and started trying to explain that there company is a subsidiary of the life insurance company but he was going to cancel my interview until Mr. Henderson could contact me.  I told him not to bother.

I received a call from one of the #s listed above. Talked to an Edward Robinson from HR and that David Holman "head of HR saw my resume and wanted me to come in for one of their office/admin positions. ITS A SCAM! They say that they have administrative positions in various areas of the company from entry level through management. When I asked what this company did he said something like "we work with the labor unions for the teachers and police associations in Brevard County". Ok so WTF does that mean? Are you an investment company? Consultant firm? No they are a "Life Insurance Company it turns out. What a bunch of BS!!! Is sales commission based ONLY and if your are like me and are a job seeker than don't bother wasting your time & gas because there are no regular paychecks. Just sales and commission and some BS on how you can have your own piece of this business, yada yada BSBS...
BEWARE JOB SEEKERS DO NOT WASTE THE FEW $$$ YOU HAVE LEFT ON GAS THINKING THIS IS LEGIT.
How depressing that people like that screw with people that are in need of legit jobs.

The best way to get at these people is to grill them about their positions.  That's what I did when they called me. I asked them about the position I was looking for and asked for what the wage was and everything was too vague.  If you ask hard questions, they start to squirm and that's how you know they are fake.

I actually went to the interview and it is what you all think it is - it's a sales bait and switch scam.  Designed to make them money and you make very little with maximum effort.  Sell Amway.  Your friends at least get a good reputable product before they get tired of you bugging them to buy things and start avoiding you.

I went in and the first thing I noticed was a fairly empty office that didn't look like much of anything was going on. It looked like it was just being set up. I have been in places like this before and they will even install a TV so you can watch something while you wait for your interview.  The TV is often up too loud so you can't hear the interview and sometimes whatever meeting is going on in another portion of the office. It's all very awkward and fake feeling in there like they are playing office.  The receptionists are always squirmy and uncomfortable looking because they know they are working for a bait and switch scam.

I interviewed and all that was talked about was sales pitches and selling and calling..  I asked where the admin position came in - because I have ZERO sales on my resume and have specifically  noted in resumes that I have NO interest in sales.  I am Admin and Marketing Design only.  He said "Well we need to hire people to set up this office" and with that he stood up and shook my hand and the interview was over.

People that lie just to get people in for sales jobs like this are pretty low garbage.

I got a call from a lady (321-304-2582) She said, after a moments hesitation that her name was kelly smith. Nice generic name, eh?
I talked to her about the position they offered and she said there were many - Administrative, customer service, etc. She was very professional, but clearly reading off a script.  I asked about the positions pay and some fairly pointed questions.  She avoided straight answers which got me suspicious. I said I didn't need specifics then, just give me info about the position I was interested in - because I'm out for an admin. job so she can specifically tell me about that position.  After avoiding straight answers for a few minutes, I googled the company name.  I asked her if the position involved sales or telemarketing in any way - because I was NOT interested in doing that kind of thing at all.  And if I ended up doing an interview and found out that's what this was, I was going to be VERY vocal about my irritation.  Her whole attitude changed and she gave me a phone number to call back after I reviewed her company online.

Finding this place and a couple of other places online that told me about their scam deal (people who have interviewed with them) is what saved me time and money.  I wish these scam artists would dry up and blow away.  Thanks everyone for your help!

I got a call from Kelly Smith this morning (407-682-7522, at the W. Orange location in Altamonte Springs), scheduling an interview for Monday a.m. with Matthew Henderson for a "management position".  It didn't smell right because there isn't much in my resume that says "management".  Thanks Google, I won't be getting up early on Monday.

I just got a call from them this morning, and after hoping I'd find one this seemed interesting so I went with it.
321-549-0829 Was the number he gave me, and they scheduled an interview for human resources at 9:45 tomorrow morning. I didn't understand the company name so I made sure to get the address and a phone number. I'm SO glad I looked it up, I wouldn't want to put myself into a bad postion. "Chad McLaughin". Come on people, be more, you know, creative.

Same thing here. Matthew Henderson Agency....called from number (321)304-2587 and for me to speak with a Chad McLaughlin. SOOO glad this forum is here to advise people to stay clear from scams like that. Vague on the phone and couldn't give me any information. Said he wasn't sure if the building even has a name cause it's a "satellite building" "Oh but you can find it easily as long as it's suite 107"

I received the same phone call, the same information, same person to speak with, same address for the interview and same call back number and an interview tomorrow morning at an odd time....ten past the hour. It's like they've thought of everything that can pass them off as being legitimate. An address, the street corner intersection, a interviewer's name and phone number, how to dress, to bring three references and a copy of my resume.  And it too was Mr. Fast-talking-Robinson who contacted me to set up the interview.
Looking for a job can be challenging enough without having to deal with these types of callers. I had an uneasy feeling when I hung up the phone and as I've learned over the past few months, do research first. Thanks to everyone for posting their experiences so I didn't waste my time or my clean suit!

I received a call from 321-213-5126, stating the same things as above. Can't remember the woman's name, but said that they got a copy of my resume from monster and would like to schedule an interview with me on Monday. I am suppose to interview with Jonathan or Chad..   I am very skeptical of this. And after reading all of the replies here I think it is in my best interest not to spend the gas to drive to the place. 1101 Weat Hibiscus Blvd #107.

I just received a call from 321-304-2583. I told the person I was not interested if this was some type of insurance sales job.  He was so vague about the details.  He told me he could not tell me the position because it would be determined at the interview. He did give me the name of the company and I saw this site when I googled the name.  Thanks for posting this, you saved me time and gas money.

I received a call this morning because my resume was viewed on Monster.  The call came from 321-304-2587. He explained that they wanted to interview me for a position (NOT a sales position, because I asked).  They gave me an address here in Daytona Beach, 444 Seabreeze Blvd., Suite 640 and I was to interview with a Mary Delores(?).  The company name was the Matt Henderson Agency and was something about insurance benefits. The number he gave me to call back on was 407-682-7522.  I googled the company and found all of these reviews.  THANKS!  It save me from a bogus interview that I don't have time for.

321-304-2587 called on 9/3/13 to say they saw my resume on career builder and would like me to come in for an interview at 9 the following morning and to bring a copy of my resume and references. After looking up the address to see what company it was there was nothing located on Google maps so then I googled the name Chad McLaughlin and came across this site. Needless to say..I'll be saving myself the extra time in the morning and avoiding this scam.
