Same as everyone else - received a text message asking if my mortgage payments were more than I could handle.  What do we need to do to get these guys fined?

I got a similar text as everyone else, and when I called to complain the voicemail was for a 'F*uck Face' and the mail box was full. I guess whoever this is is getting lots of complaints... Maybe they should take the hint.

I have been getting text messages from these AT&T cell phones.
They are based out of Montebello, CA (a little south-east of East LA)

These people are scum! They are not telemarketer's, they are running a SCAM!

Call this number: (323)724-8601 or (323)724-3611
They issued the phones to these people, let them know you don't like this way of
doing things and suggest that they cut off service to these numbers.

What the heck? How'd I get on their spam list??

Sorry, you are correct that do-not-call is administered by the FTC. However, for a texting spam, the FCC handles that.

Please report these violations to https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/1088gform.do . These are not legal.

You should be reporting this to the FCC, not the FTC.

Received text msg from this number wanted to lower mortgage payments

I have gotten the same text twice now. I dont even own a home. My numbers is on the do not call registry but I guess that dosent matter. I sent them a text back asking them to stop but I doubt it.

I also received this text message for the second time.  The first time I reported them to the FTC and they said the company was "not in violation". I confirmed that I was on the "do not call" list and sent the info to FTC again. On Verizon (and most cellphones) you have the option of blocking up to 5 telephone numbers. You can also choose a "nickname" instead of a phone number for text messages and block internet texts (which is where they usually come from). Incidentally I have no mortgage but I understand they can just scan phone numbers arbitrarily till they find one that works.

Got an unsolicited text this afternoon promoting Sunday Football at Sandbox Sports Grill in Huntington Beach.

I received the same text & sent a reply letting them know it was unauthorized & I will prosecute if I get any further messages.  I wouldn't call any solicitor that texts or calls me, so you would think it would be a waste of time for them.

I am listed on the Do Not Call list and have been for months so apparently it doesn't work like it is suppose to.

Just got the same text message as everyone else.   Recently had my home equity loan sold by GMAC to  SLS  (Specialized Loan Servicing) in Colorado.  They're "Welcome to our Happy Family" packet came with all sorts of disclaimers about how they share my information with other companies.  I suppose this is why I got dumped onto this list.  Thanx SLS, Thanx GMAC.
Now lets see how well the "Do Not Call" list works.

I received several text messages from these people in India if you respond to the text message they will start charging you for a subscription report them to the FTC. They text or call and also have a Walmart scam....

These people are scum, selling the "leads" to a mortgage company based in Orange County, California.  I believe they dump the phone after a few days and pick up another number and start all over again.  I have received a few of them and finally said yes, so I would be able to talk with someone and tell them.  They were going to make it stop, but now my wife is getting them too.

There should be a law!!
