Hi,  I tried to email you concerning the Photo situation.  But the email was returned.  I am an individual who was also told they would manage my career but to no avail never did.  I had pictures taken and it cost quite a bit.  Once they had my money that was the end of that.  I started researching photographers,  who work in Los Angeles to compare fees.  What Dee and Josephine charge is an outrageous fee.  

I was in real hopes things would have worked out.  But I have to agree with everyone else.  For those who are researching to see if they are legitimate, be very cautious.  The red flags are, they make everything sound good to real you in.  They ask for an enormous amount of money for pictures.  You do not know their last names and they do not tell you when you ask.  Even their card does not have their last name.  You do not even know much about the company they work for because they do not tell you that either.  This is not normal for a legitimate business.  

There are many highly regarded talent agencies and Management agencies out there.  For those who are starting out, I would suggest going to Samuel French in Los Angeles.  This is a bookstore where they have all sorts of books about the business.  Purchase the book that has the listings for Agencies and Managers.  Go to a photographer that does not charge an enormous amount of money get a headshot with resume and do a blitz mailing with a short note attached saying you are looking for representation.  When you do your mailing use the book from Samuel French.  

One thing is for sure Dee and Josephine are nowhere to be found on the internet.

One more thing I just found out:
If you had your pictures taken with Omar, please contact me. I have his number and have heard that he is a nice fellow who had no idea he was sucked into a scam like this. He fully refunded one of my friends and gave her the headshots along with profuse apologies. He may not have the ability to give back everyone's money, but at least he will give you your pictures.

After reading everyone's posts, I wanted to chime in with my two cents worth. Take it or leave it. I found Josephine and Dee through a ring of auditions. As you may guess, it included the fake Sobe commercial that some of you have mentioned. After being told that I had potential, but needed new pictures taken, I was asked to volunteer at the New Filmmakers LA film festival. I'm pretty new to town as well, but fortunately, I'm in film school here and have access to real professionals in the industry.

At our school an experienced casting director had never heard of Josephine or Dee, and also warned against talent agents who refer you to photographers. Apparently, that is not common practice in the business. So, after volunteering a few times and making connections with some pretty cool people, I dropped out of the loop. Something just wasn't settling right with me. Nothing was moving on Josephine's end, and that casting director's warning kept ringing in my ear. Maybe you need that warning passed on to you. Be careful, ok...especially you parents.

If you're looking for a place to start, go get about 30, 8 x 10 headshots at any photography studio (even the mall for starters). Write an updated resume in Arial - 12pt. font. Cut it to be 8 x 10 and staple it to the back of your headshot. Sign up for LA Casting and Actor's Access, and start submitting yourself to auditions, attending RUSH calls and doing background work. Get out there and meet people. Be your own talent agent for now. And if you're religious, pray and ask God for guidance to connect you with the right people at the right time and place. For basic pay, you will get about $8/hr for background. Use that money to further your acting career. Be friendly. Don't get star-struck. Do your work well. But most importantly, SHOW UP EARLY (about 10-15) to all appointments. You'll make it with persistence and patience.

Promised all kinds of things and they never deliveried. As soon as the got the money they never called us again or even answeredany emails..

This company is a total scam!!! Believe me when I tell you people that, If you want into the acting Biz, these people arent going to get you in. all they want to do is have a fake a** audition, have you come in and read for some "Sobe" ad that isn't even real, I mean cmon i talked to mostly everyone who was coming for their "audition" they all read the same damn script and was all told the same thing about the pictures!! these people just want your hard earned dollars to give you some lame pictures and no direction! The one lady Dee is a nobody in Hollywood or anywhere else, has never been in the movies and has the nerve to tell people she knows what Hollywood casting directors are looking for? Please, no casting director has ever heard of this phony or her management company, actually they did hear about the management company because they heard about the mass rip offs!! The other girl(the fat one) is a gothed out weirdo who thinks she's got a shot in the entertainment field, yea as a f'ing fat blob, if they're re-shooting that movie she's a shoe in.They keep moving because people like me are onto them and wont rest until we get our money back! these people play at being nice but are really just scum of the earth who should do themselves a favor and go jump off a building, slicing your veins at the same time in case you survive the fall!

At first I was very skeptical of all of this, but after going in and out, and finally getting representation from Josephine and working with Dee, I honestly can say I am truly in good hands.  I've only been with them for a month, but they are so supportive and realistic in your goals. Things don't happen over night and you need to work hard, but they are there for support and to help guide you and give you opportunities.  I know many people in the industry and This is truly LEGIT.  They do not ask for money AT ALL. I need new headshots so they have provided me with the best photographers in the business and scheduled a photoshoot with AMAZING rates.  I have so many opportunities with my hard work , and help from my amazing managers <3

I'll definitely tell you more as time goes by.

Did you ever get your photos?

I can give you their information. The changed locations and didn't let me know. I have paid for head shots...a photo shoot that doesn't print the head shots, so i have to get them from another person they referred me to but, I have to give them the money. If I can get info to contact you i can give you the information you need.

I went to the photoshoot but you have to pay extra for the pho
tos they didn't even give me the cd. I paid $550 and now they are asking me to pay $1025 for online media, a Zed card, and to head shop. I am very skeptical but Dee Always ask me if I have any questions but she doesn't really ballinteer too much information.

I keep going to meetings after new location and every meeting that I go to just about there asking for money, but they always tell me they are not charging me there affiliate are charging me. They don't provide any information iliad and I ask for receipts, but Dee tells me it's on my credit card statement. I'm very skeptical and I'm going to ask 1 of my teachers who is in the film industry about this situation.
