I received threatening calls saying they were going to file charges against me if I didn't get a money pack from Walmart or Walgreen & give them the # from the back within a couple of hours. They treatened to call my job & report it to my manager if I did not cooperate.

This person keeps calling me and my work... Not ok... How do you stop from these harrssing calls?

JUST GOT A MESSAGE THAT THERE HAVE BEEN 4 COMPLAINTS AGAINST ME AND TO TURN MYSELF IN OR THEY WOULD SEND A SOLICITOR TO MY HOME AND WORK.  IT IS ALSO A MAN WITH A INDIAN ACCENT.   I HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON.  THESE PEOPLE NEED TO BE STOPPED!!!!!!!

Person who speaks poor english is calling saying they are from the attorney general's office and a lawsuit is filed.  Then the person gives no information but wants a return call to give details of the lawsuit.

I have received several calls today, to my home and work numbers from an obviously Middle Eastern person calling himself John Palmer from the LA State Attorney's Office claiming he had a lawsuit against me for a payday loan I never received. When I asked for information he said he didn't have my information in front of him and abruptly hung up, then rejected all of my calls from that point. Told me not to contact him for 24 hours and that I would receive an affadavit in the mail.

i just recived a phone call today from this Indian individuale and talk to me about a warrant for my arrest in florida.they want me to give money and they drop the arrest. this persons are criminals.

This is a criminal extortion scam operating out of India. They are making the calls utilizing VOIP and the names of legitimate firms to make it appear the calls are originating from within the US. There is NO "company" or "debt" and you will NOT be arrested. They are harvesting and/or buying consumers' personal identifying information from unscrupulous websites like the one you may have filled out an application with, and you need to do whatever you can to protect yourself. This includes: Notifying the FTC: https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/, placing fraud alerts with all three credit bureaus, notifying your bank and employer and letting these criminals know you are aware they are attempting to extort money for a non-existent debt and have alerted the authorities.

They just called me and i acted like i was just taking a message....they say it is a lawsuit against my name; name Paul Smith...indian accent...bunch of b.s.  i had a similar call last year and had to get law involved...grrrr

This Is vey frustrated, this person started calling very early in the morning, did not leave voice mail but stays on the phone for aprox 15Mins without saying a word and hang up.. I dont pick up calls for unknown numbers, but after this dude called me all day like every hour, i decided to pick it up and a male guy answered, sounds like an indian person, i told him, to stop calling my number and to delete it from their system..he insist and continue talking and i told him, listen you need to stop calling this number, then i hanged up... Couple minutes later, the same person called, the indian dude, i got so pissed off and said, listen dont you understand english and i curse at him and told him to stop calling and hang up... This looser keep calling calling and get my voice mail and stay there just to let run my voice mail and after couples minutes he hanged up....he must be a looser who has no life and enjoy messing with people ebpven after being told not to call...amazing SNB!!!!

this is the first time they have called me. the first time it started last year around this time and i got the local police office involved and they told them to stop calling me and they were full of s***. A year later and they start all over again, im about to give them a piece of my mind.

They call my work and cell phone several times in a row. Claiming there is a warranty out for my arrest. What has everyone else done?

YES GOT A MESSAGE OF THIS JOHN SOMETHING STATING THAT HE IS CALLING FROM THE STATE ATTORNEY GENERAL AND HE NEED FOR MY ATTORNEY OR I TO CALL HIM BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE DUE TO A COMPLAINT HE RECEIVED WITH MY SOCIAL, FUNNY THING IS THAT I WENT TO THE LOCAL ATTORNEY GENERALS OFFICE AND HAD NOTHING AGAINST ME. ANOTHER THING IS THAT THIS SO CALLED JOHN COULD NOT EVEN SPEAK PROPER ENGLISH, COULD NOT PRONOUNCE MY NAME AT ALL. WHEN I TRIED CALLING THE NUMBER BACK THERE IS NO ANSWER AND NOT EVEN ABLE TO LEAVE A MESSAGE.

Me too...claiming they have a fraud against me

Repeated phone calls and threats of calling the sherriff on me saying I took a payday advance when I didn't.  He has my personal information i.e. work number, SSNumber, etc.
