My mom got the same exact one. They wont leave her alone since she believed them at first. She is even out of town right now and her neighbor called to say she has a Fedex envelope at her door. I told her to call the police and have them come get it. It's just going to be a fake cashier's check inside.

This is definitely a scam number.  send me text that want me to send my name and address so that they can send me cashier check that sponsor by his wife company to send me cashier check to pay for their vacation.
I get the same message from craiglist before but now they only want to communicate by text.

Text today from "Alex" saying wants to rent my property listed on Craigslist.  Telling me to text back to give him info regarding payment.  Yeah,right.  Very poor grammar-doesn't make any sense.  Does anyone know who we can report this to?

I got a message from the same number replying to my Craigslist ad.  Always do a reverse lookup!

I got it too ...In response to a housing swap ad I put in NYC Craig's list.   I reported it as spam.

Called the number instead of texting.  Got an outgoing voice mail Greeting identifying herself as "Sara" and that she's unavailable.

I put an ad in Craigslist, just like everyone else advertising my services as a security guard, both private and business. Within an hour of posting I received an email from the same number with the same message "Are you still looking for work? text me for more info..(323) 364-2127 Smith". I immediately googled the number and the first site that popped up was this one. Can't stress enough the importance of research.

Don't fall for this.  Got the same number requesting a text.  Craigslist has some shady people.

It's an LA area code. Got an email via craigslist asking me to text this number for a job opportunity. Email sent from: allex.smith119@gmail.com - Obviously more punk scam artists. Probably a prepaid disposable or stolen phone.

They were looking for people to print phony checks they can send to suckers that they're scamming.

I received a response from my craigslist posting from these folks as well...it is definitely a scam.  When I called the number (they tell you text only) you get a weird recording.

Avoid this number on any response received.

I was contacted by this person through Craigslist.  They responded to a post I put up looking for part time work in my local area doing jobs such as in home cleaning, paper work filing, meal preperations, etc.  Left me a message asking if I found work and left a phone number and put texts only.  I text the number and they ended up wanting me to print checks from my home for 300.00/wk and I would need to purchase check paper from office max #1000 or #3000.  When i asked to meet them in person due to the nature of the business i would be handling they stated it was an online job.  I replied with well i'm assuming since i will be handling money you will need my credentials and some signatures?  The response I got was: Nope just your full name and address.  I replied with: Thanks for the response but this sounds too sketchy.  At this time I'm not interested.

Do not attempt this kind of employment anyone that wants you to handle money and doesn't need your personal information or to fill out an application is up to NO GOOD!!!  I mean even if yo get a rinky dink job at a tanning salon they still get your social security number and birthdate and such.  Money wiring is never good.  Hope this helps someone out there.  Good luck.
