They call me everyday and no one picks up. I finally got someone to answer and politely cussed them out, told them to stop calling me, got myself off the list, and told them to suck a dick.

My number was registered under someone elses name though. So that's probably why.

I got a call from this number at 815am and again at 944am and i answered and noone was there. I would like to know who this is.

usually not even the correct person. Get calls from them for a person I've never even heard of. You will never get taken off the list so I just have some fun and screw with them every chance I get.

I get the same calls all day and most of the evening hours. I think it's harassment by some business.

Call them & hang up on them a few hundred times;  They get pissed off.  Every 10th call tell them to take your number off the list. I also fax them the same message hundreds of times and make them waste their paper.

I've gotten a call from them at eight thirty in the morning and at nine forty in the morning. I see that some people are saying that the calls are related to Capital One. My only problem is that I have never used a Capital One card in my life, so I know it's not debt collection.

These people call me everyday, sometimes twice a day.  They ask for a person I have never heard of.  I have asked them to remove my number from their list. The calls continue.  I have caller ID and most times do not answer; if I do answer it is only to plead to stop calling me.  I am on the "do not call" registry and I am getting angry and frustrated with their harassment.

I get the point with all these complaints however these calls are most likely computer generated so it's a waste of time to think that nicely asking them to stop will make a difference. Best suggestion, change your phone number, I did.

These people call me Day & night on my Cell--thing about it, always same recording when I call it back, with the SAME womans voice.. or I get a recording saying it is no longer In Service...

Recieve calls from this company all the time. If this is for capital one, i recently paid them off and owe them nothing! They have called me five times today again alone! I wish that they would get the hint and stop calling. If I recieve one more call...filing a complaint against them!

They won't stop calling me HELP

I've been getting calls from this company non-stop for weeks now so I decided to do a little research.  Looks like they pose as a Capital One collection agency but they call people who don't have a balance (myself included) or even people who don't have business with them!  From what I've read they try to "verify" your identification by asking for your credit card number or one couple even wrote that if you refuse they say that if you give them your address they'll mail you "instructions" which really just tell you to send cash to another address.

Obviously they if they called you THEY are responsible for verifying their own identity.  If they really have your information on file then you can ask for the last four of your credit card number before talking to them.

Hope this helps someone and maybe somebody's got an idea on how to get them to stop?

Another little something I just found out.  They actually BUY your debt from other companies, this would explain why they're calling people who don't actually have any debt.  In that case you're not responsible for that in any way.

This number keeps calling and no one is there or they don't leave a message. I noticed from reading the posts that this is some financial company or a collection agency for CitiBank. I do not have a CitiBank card or any other credit card, so I don't know why they are harrassing me.

They keep calling and if you pick-up no one is there. Call me 10 to 12 times per day, has been going on for 4 weeks now.

They call all the time in the morning and wake me up!! I dislike them so much. They should get a real job. like a crash dummy or volunteer for government experiments :)

they call me on my cell phone, not sure why..but I have to pay for their calls, and it is subtracted from my available minutes that I could use for something important.

If you go to the Federal Trade Commission Website, and click on the Do Not Call Registry, you can file a complaint. ESPECIALLY if they call you and leave a recorded message, that's a major no-no!

I have no capita lone card at all. What's also annoying is they're calling my cell phone and I absolutely NEVER give it out to anyone.... Random fishing.

Who are these robo callers?  Do Not Call. Gov did a lot of good....
