I just got the same call as A.Wells. These people are SICK if they think I'm giving out my bank account number! Mark Wheeler was the guy who called me...and then I got sent to him manager 'Vicki'. Any news on what kind of scam this is?

Hang up call. Redialed and got a recording announcing it was World Traveler's voice mail and I had reached a voice mailbox that was not checked. The recording also said that leaving a message wouldn't do any good as the box would not be checked. I redialed a couple of times until there was no answer on the third try, just 3 electronic beeps.

I got a call from them asking for Andreas and when i said they had the wrong number, the guy yelled, "Then refuse the call ma'am!"

They call everyday and never say a word. They just hang up.

I am a former telemarketer for the World Travelers Club. Because I had been told by a client that I called that this was a known identity theft ring, I researched it, which brought me here and to many other ID theft websites. After questioning my own job, and doing lots of independent research (and fearing prison). I wanted to assure everyone that this is not a scam. Yes the pitch is a bit misleading... The 3 days and 2 nights vacation IS free. But if you don't cancel your membership within the 2 week trial period you will be billed 19.95 monthly for membership fees.

To make sure we are all on the same page. The dialer worked out of LA, they offer $400 in airline vouchers and they will ask for the name of your bank. If any of you questioning the legitimacy of The World Travelers Club, please DO NOT TAKE MY WORD FOR IT!!!111eleven!!!! Please do some independent research, visit the website, read some INDEPENDENT reviews.

PS. For those of you wondering why you asked to be taken off the list, and the agent said "No, problem. Your number will be added to our internal do not call list so you receive no further call from us. Have a great day." Please read up on current telemarketing laws. It is legally required.

these people called me and seid i won this vaction pacage for for nights 3 days any were i wanted and that it was becouse of good standinds and  using mine checking account recently. and they would send me a package and all i needed to do was sarcb to a magazen i seid no that i was not interwasted in sheach thing and they already knew mine name and adress. well i hang up on the lady she would not take no for an anwers, so i called the law center and mine bank this is a scam so don't give your infor to them.

Do not give out any info to these "IDENITY THEFT" people.  They just want a way into your account to get your money and who knows what else.  Contact your bank and you online account to report this and buy indenity theft protection for your accounts.

These people just called me, confirmed my address and wanted my checking account number!  LOL R U Serious?  If they already have my information based on a "debit card purchase i made" i need to sue my bank for releasing my information to an outside company...fortunately for me, i work at the bank i also bank with...this scam is hilarious!

These folks, World Travelers, called me from this number. Said I had won a free vacation for 4 days, 3 nights hotel accomodations plus $400 in air travel vouchers. Said I had won this by using my bank card for a recent purchase. Asked me my bank's name. Then wanted to confirm the routing number on my checking account. I refused and told her that I wouldn't give out that info and I sure hoped she didn't have access to that as I was not ignorant enough to say "oops, you've got my routing number wrong this is the correct one..." Told her to take my name & number off of their list immeiately. She VERY quickly agreed and hung up in a flash!!

No message, I don't know anyone in California.

This guy is clearly a wacko who has no life!  I received a call at work and our receptionist was away from her desk so I answered the call.  The guy said "Hello _____________" and then hung up.  Dude - get a life!

Mine came up as California call but we did not answer it. So not sure what they were peddling.

Never answered the call. I am leary of the fact that they have our banking info is what scares me. I recently purchased items from Ebay which uses pay pal. Some of the info on pay pal was not updated, well I had to update the info in order to receive the packages. I am wondering if they are some how hacking into these sights? Getting this type of information? This really bothers me. Time to stop ordering off the internet...

I WON A FREE VACATION!!!   I told 'em they were caller number seven and they won a new car!  I'm a massage therapist, but, they didn't need to know that.

I got a call from these guys this after noon. i didn't answer, busy with the kids and they left a voice mail. So i checked the message and it was a male voice saying simply "I love you" and then hanging up. I was very confused... it was obviouse on my fiance, so i called the number back and got the voice mail stating that it was world traverler's and to call them back on using the number i recieved in my packet. Weird!

I received a call today at work from this phone number.  They have called me everyday for over a week.  They wanted to know what bank I currently was banking with.  I refused to give the information out, the lady then tranferred me to a "manager" and this lady kept asking me over and over for my bank name.  I said no, and she said she could not set me up with the free vacation without it.  I said I was not interested and she hung up.  Such a scam.  Also kinda scarey, they new what city I lived in.

Numerous calls from this number over the past few weeks.  I just hang-up.

Omg, I had got a call one time from a different number, but most rcently this number called twice.t first I thought it was some sick joke and I thought one of my friends were pranking me, but then I realized this can't be no joke, so I looked around and I found this website! What F****N JERKS! Obviously its b***s***, I never tell them it's me and I DO NOT KNOW HOW THEY GOT MY NAME!

we have just received a call from 323 375 0910 asking us to verifie our address and to tell them who we bank with. As soon as we said we would not tell her who we bank with, they promptly hung up the phone.
