I called back the number.  They claimed to be Tri-Star Entertainment and that they were looking for models and actors for commercials.  They said a scout submitted my name and information, which I never gave anyone.  They wanted to schedule an audition.

actually theres plenty of ways people can get yr number, and yeah i had JUST received a call, should i go check it out? i cant find tri-star ANYWHERE. no info about it whatsoever.

I got the call a couple days ago. Should I call back? I mean, is this a scam or what? My parents think that it's the same as this other entertainment company. They will schedule an audition, but the catch is that you have to take like a $5,000 class for it. But it might not be so.... It's so confusing. Ahhh!!! What scout? That's what I want to know. I haven't done a show in about a year. I've been focussed on tumbling. So if my last show was like 11 1/2 months ago, why are they calling me now??

This is so funny. What exactly do you all have better going on, your day jobs in other businesses? If a company is in the business of talent for entertainment industry companies, as they clearly state, and you are looking for work in your entertainment career, why are you all so paranoid about calls? So, why wouldn't you get a call from an industry list? Are you not looking for development, referrals ect? I am with Tri Star and have got some great auditions from them. They charge no fees and have been really great. Are you just super worried that if any office is not William Morris calling with an automatic contract and limo for you, you should avoid it act so smart? How smart are you? Would you prefer to not get calls from talent firms? Why is that, smarty pants? While you are acting like super smart advisers to each other here, I bet your careers are not too big. Yet still, you are supposedly so worried about someone calling you that you log on and start this paranoid/ playing smart conversation with each other. So, you really don't want people calling you from industry talent lists? What are you thinking? So, go see them and if you do not like it, (or more probably, don't get an offer from them)then you can go back to your useless protection of your unknown status and preciously quiet phones, because no one notices you enough to call you. Are you so smart that you wish for no one to find you from anywhere you have worked or auditioned in the entertainment industry? Just what are you protecting, your completely unknown status? Am I really supposed to believe that? Ask yourselves why that is,okay? They don't give classes or shoot photos, so what's your problem? Is this really because you have fear of rejection and you never make any real moves to get in the industry? How safe are you all, really, in your day jobs, in other industries? Give me a break.

THIS IS A SCAM!!! They call themselves Tristar Entertainment Group (Network).  Google them and search them on BBB.org.  They are a scam and will try to take your money for "photos" you don't need.  Don't believe a word they say... Believe me!
