I called back, it was from "Doctors without borders", probably asking for a donation.

I have gotten 20+ calls from this number in the past 6 weeks.  It comes up "DRS WO BRDRS" on my caller ID.  No message has been left.  I have tried to answer a couple of times, but the line is always dead and remains dead for over 10 seconds.  I think Drs Without Borders is a good charity, but I do not plan to EVER donate again because of the nuisance calls.

I am inundated by calls from this number! 323-634-XXXX numbers are from the L.A. area in California, while Doctors Without Borders is located in New York . . . suspect. Also, Doctors Without Borders has too much integrity to be making these bogus calls. If someone from the organization were to call, I'm sure they would stay on the line and discuss the crisis du jour, such as the travesty in Somalia.

This is only one of several similar calls that I receive on a daily basis. What I want to know is, can 800notes.com do anything about this? Can anyone?

I wish I could say that I'm glad to find out I'm not the only one, but I truly don't feel that way. It is discouraging to know that so many people are having to deal w/ this invasive harassment, with apparently no recourse.

The name of the business is Donor Services on behalf of Doctors Without Borders. They are a paid third-party fundraiser. They are fee based, which means your donation goes directly to DWB, and their fee is covered by administrative expenses. nonprofits are exempt drom the do not call lost.

I received a call from 1 323 634 0708. When I answered, I heard a click, and then nothing. I get more of these calls recently.

Occasionally during a big crisis, Doctors Without Borders will reach out to donors by phone to see if they want to give an extra donation. I've donated to them for 3 years and have had one call ever.

Totally agree. It's suspect. I would never call back. They're fishing for something, but what? I donate to D'sw/oB's automatically every month, so they have no reason to ask for a donation. Clearly, someone stole their list. What could they gain from incessant, non-connecting calls?

Just got that same number as a missed call.  Bogus Scam probably.  Don't ever call to "remove your name from a list".....that's their way of knowing they reached you!  Ignore - hang up quickly if they reach you.  I don't think Doctors Without Borders makes calls.

I get a call from this number at least once a week.  The caller ID shows the number and California.  I've donated to Doctors Without Borders one or two times and have asked them to take me off their mailing list.  Why would they now be calling me, especially since I'm on the "Do Not Call" list.  Whoever it is, I would appreciate it if they would stop calling me.

I got a call that said it was from Doctors Without Borders, but the call is very Questionable.
First the call had no purpose other than say they called but could not call now ?
When I checked the phone listing for Doctors Without Borders is:
Phone: 212-679-6800,  Fax: 212-679-7016 and to make a donation online or toll-free at 1-888-392-0392.
So why would they call from this strange area code with no real purpose to the call?
Doubt seriously if the call is from Doctors Without Borders but the call has some other purpose that I can not figure out !?
I am on the Do Not Call List too and Doctors Without Borders has not been given my phone #.

someone called me from this number, listened to my voice for awhile and then hung up.  i would like to know who called me.

Missed call of unknown origin.

It is Doctors Without Borders (Médecins Sans Frontières). Not a telemarketing call since I've donated to them before. I told them I don't donate over the phone and will use their website when I choose to donate. They were very polite and told me they would take me off their call list.

No message.

I just called 323-634-0708, and spoke to a operator and had her take my number off their callers list.

Rings me maybe 2x a day, no message, nothing in caller ID except the number itself.  A bit irksome.

IF THIS IS DOCTORS WITHOUT BORDERS, I DON'T FEEL THREATENED BUT I WOULD LIKE TO STOP RECEIVING CALLS FROM THEM.

It's Doctors Without Borders. I think they up their call frequency during times of major crisis (i.e. the famine in East Africa right now), otherwise I rarely get bothered by them via telephone. But they have been calling me everyday for the past 4 days and hang up when I don't answer.
