tried calling them back but the numbers out of service... seems weird 2 me!!

Got a call. No message was left.

I pretended that I wanted this service and I finally have a name - Nationwide Automotive Protection.  They won't remove you from their calling list and they don't care if you are on the National DNC list.  When you ask to be removed they hang up on you.  Have fun.  Once they get your number they never stop calling.

This number called my business. When they realized we are a business, they said "I have the wrong number" and hung up. On my caller ID, all that registered was the word the phone number. No message was left.

This number calls multiple times a day. I answer and no one responds. after 10 seconds or so, they hang up.

They called, then about 8 seconds later I hear a machine saying "good bye" and then they hung up.

These telemarketers are using computer controlled autodialers that call anyone and everyone without regard to Federal or States DNC list.  If you are on the DNC list, they dial your number anyway, then the call is disconnected about 5 seconds after you answer.  Their goal appears to be just to waste your time and move on to the next call where they hope to sell someone a worthless used car warranty.

If you do get to talk to a human being, NEVER say "Yes" to any of their questions!  Their latest trick is to ask a mundane question like "Do you make the financial decisions in your house?"  You are being recorded as you say "Yes."  Then, they play the "Yes." response back after asking for permission to access your checking account for a one time charge of $$$.  They have burnt my +85 year old father-in-law this way three times over the last five months.

This number keeps calling and when I call back it gives me a message saying this number is disconnected what is the deal?

Called me on my cell phone, but I was on the other line.  When I called them back to find out who called me, it said number disconnected.  Really annoying.

What scam artists, i do student loan collections and this person couldn't get past the written script in front of him, what i don't understand is that we are regulated yet these morons get away with it even after we tell them to DNC.   I would love to know how to report them!  Because we are federally regulated to not put the client at risk when attempting to help recover a bad loan.  Jerk faces

Called I answered and no one talked back, ANNOYING!

They called me, I answered and 5 seconds later they hung up.

Asked for me by name, told me they were Vehicle Insurance Agency or something like that, had my name and number, that's about it. Asked me my car/make year and mileage, after which he put me on the phone with an "Information Verification Agent" who was some woman who just regurgitated what I had just told "Johnny". She told me because of the nature of these things, they have to be cautious about who they give insurance to. She asked if I had a check engine light, I told her yes, it came on today, and she said "Well, you don't qualify" and hung up.

That's the quickest way to get rid of them, be  liable person that would actually cost them money, they'll leave you alone.

A guy calls my home asks for Robert ( I have had my number for 20 years no one in my family by that name)   I say no one here by that name went to ask and CLICK   grrrrr I hate that!

ask for husband by name. said he wasnt here and ask if I could help. He hung up.

got a call on personal cell - did not answer and they did not leave a message...

Customer Contract Services is the name that she gave me, but as soon as I said NO, they hung up - shady practices.....

I just got a call frm this # today. I do NOT live in the California area...FAR from it actually!!!!! All i got was silence then a recording saying "goodbye" in a female like voice. I HATE getting these calls!!!!!!!  I also keep getting calls from another # on my cell. Telling me i have won an all expense paid vacation to different locations. I have both phones on the DNC list but that doesnt stop these IDOTS! RRRRGGGG!!!

This number calls my personal cell phone non stop every day. This is the most annoying thing ever especially when im sitting at work and my f****ng cell phone will not stop ringing from these a***oles. When i pick up they just hang up and the number is disconnected.

I have been getting these calls for months. It started out as a car warranty purchase, and now it has evolved to the number disconnecting after approximately 3 seconds after picking up. This number is calling my cell phone. I placed my number on the do not call list, and I just put this number on my block list. I have verizon and anyone can block calls, FYI--just call customer support.

Has called twice and when I answered the phone it had a recorded device saying goodbye.  When I attempted to call it back it said the number was disconnected.  User ID just says "cellular call".

I have been getting a call from this phone number apx. once every three days for about two weeks now.  I did some "investigating" just like everyone else here and realized early on that it was a call coming out of Los Angeles, to which I currently have no ties.  However, I do have a San Diego area code cell phone, which seems to coincide with some other people here.  I'm not at all worried about it, or angered in any way, but it would be interesting to find out exactly what's going on here.

I have to say that number has to be a scam of some nature.  Its not a bill collector because that is what i do for a living and we have regulations and if we dont follow we actually can be sued, all our calls are recorded and kept for record for at least 30 days.  My company even fines us 250$ for breaking the FDCPA, (for consumers this is a valuable thing to know a bit about but understand a debt is a debt and that if its federal such as student loans what the collector states is true when it comes to what the company can do to you such as wage garnishments and tax offsets)  These people break a DNC order so i know its a scam, I wish I knew how to track them or trace them so I could report them, but it seems like they use a dialer system that isnt actually located in LA, but is routed thru there, hence the disconnect message when you call back.  if any one finds out more, please post because i for one will follow thru with a filing to the proper authorities.  They give people in my line of work a bad name, im not out to steal from you i actually can help repair a major problem, these punks want to steal from you.

I got the same thing But they already called me twice.....I am going to wait till they call me again and if they answer I am going to hang up on them......I did not apply for no casting
