Asking the FTC to do something about a scam company is a total waste of time!!!   These (FTC) are the arogant pieces of unprocessed sewage that brought us the subprime mortgage scams that will cost you and me a lot, directly and indriectly.   They are lawyers (I would call them all prostitutes but that is unfair to prostitutes.   They are the problem with this country today and the government is full of them.   Republican or Democrat they are all alike and have no utility other than collecting money for themselves and their colleages.   The company being discussed are for sure (white collar) criminals.   However, this type  of criminal behavior is accepted here.   They must have a network of companies all with different but similar names and must be able to route calls through a series of phone numbers, probably a computer software program sold by the telephone, so it appears as if different companies are calling when, in fact, it is one company.  Can you imagine what kind of person would be involved in this (I can).

The Do Not Call List will most likely take forever to do something about these guys. The phone originated from San Angelo TX. The carrier is GTE DBA Verizon SW Inc. I have taken to bugging them about it. Perhaps they will realize that it is bad customer relations to allow this to continue. Besides if they want to allow their system to waste my time, its only right that I waste theirs!!!! I contacted the FTC about the possibility of Identy theft. My next thought is to start calling the San Angelo TX Police and trying to get harrassment charges filed on these clowns.......

got recorded call.  pressed #1 and it went to operator who i asked what his company name is.  i then asked what phone number is.  he said he'd give it after seeing if we qualify.  i asked to have our number removed from their stupid list.  he said to press #2 and that it wasn't stupid and hung up on me.  googled first allied and here i am.  called their direct number -- (718) 749-0052 and asked them to remove our number.  person apologized after getting number.

If they were truly above board, they'd give you all the info like who they are, who they represent, and all the contact info for the company that they are working on behalf of. Ever see a junk fax? It's always ?send your money in, but no contact info.? Not that we succumb to such scams, but let?s establish the complete lack of any ethics all telemarketing people have! Yes, all of them!

Think about this for a moment. This calls are coming into a business that gets calls from all over the country EVERY DAY. Belittling someone for not being clairvoiant as to who is calling is rather useless. Caller ID only gives you a limited amount of info and cant tell the difference between legitimate calls and bogus calls. Perhaps you know everyone who calls you but I sure don't. I get new calls all the time in my business. Most small business is geared towards customer service. That means a human being is the preferred method for answering customer calls. Using your method, of not answering calls that I don't know, would relegate almost all of my calls to a machine. Perhaps you do not know but most customers prefer a real person, and will not respond to a machine. It's not a matter of being a "big spender" as to the cost of the call, but an issue of not getting the business in the first place. Yes Bear, that can be a very costly option to some of us. Your attitude is rather narrow and not very productive, reality based, or insightful. I wish I could determine someone was a scammer, as you do, just from the caller ID. I would be thrilled if I could.

Don't any of you ever use your caller id's and if you do; how come you let a scammer tease you?
