How do you get your cell phone number on a permanent DNC list?  Is this the same process/list as one would use for their land line? Thanks! (I just received a phone ring call from this number, as well, which is why I visited this board.)

Call is from someone claiming you have visited a website and are entitled to a $100 rebate card. Since I actually *had* opened a payment dispute with a company, I called back and asked some questions: it's a scam. They couldn't tell me WHAT site I visited that was giving me this "rebate card," what company this card was FOR, HOW they got my number... blah, blah. Anyway the deal is, you pay for shipping and handling (uh huh.) with your credit card (of course.) Pure scam, that's why being on a DNC list doesn't work. Report these calls.

I got the same call one ring and I know I should not call it back but I did and got a automated voice mail and it ask me to press 1 for something did not find out since I hung up and this is on my cell phone not everyone I know has this number

Is everyone getting these calls a Democrat?  That would explain them.

I've been receiving calls from this number - twice today!  My cell phone is very private; I am on the DNC list permanently; never leaves a message and since I am on a family plan w/my daughter, AM BEING CHARGED FOR THESE CALLS.  WHAT A NUISANCE!!!!!

One ring.  I didn't answer either.  Scam?  I think so.  I blocked the number.

Received a call on my very private cell phone.  Not sure how many times it rang since I had the ringer off, didn't answer as I did not recognize the number, no voicemail left.  I just blocked the number.

I recieved a call from this number also - one ring and hung up. I will be blocking this caller.

I've recieved three calls from this unknown number. Since there is a "one ring" scam going around, I refuse to answer any call from a number that I do not know, nor will I call them back.  The caller ID just says Ravenna, OH
