Received donation letter from National Vietnam Veterans Foundation (which was from the telephone call mentioned above). Looked it up online - said they typically keep 80 percent or more of funds they collect.  The end.

Received same call tonight from 330-438-1535.  Husband picked up & could hear background noise but then they hung up.  Caller ID says State of Ohio.  What is up?????

I got the same call today. No message left on machine. Called the number back and got the recording that the mail box was full century link answering service.
I was please to find this site when I did a Google with the State of Ohio number.
Who knows.
I give NOTHING to anyone who calls my home. No info, no money, zip!

Just a thought???
If this is someone who is required to make so many calls for a fund raiser and they do not want to talk to anyone but just make their quota maybe that is what is happening????

Just answered this call (2:13 p.m.) and it was a man asking for money for veterans. Besides my phone number, he had my address (I gave him NO information.) So I asked him to send info of the organization. Will be interested to see what we get.

I GOT THIS CALL AT 2PM ON SUNDAY, A MAN ASKED FOR MR. OR MRS. "CUNTZ" . NOW, BY HEARING THIS PHONETICALLY I NATURALLY  WAS A BIT TAKEN ABACK,AND RESPONDED AS SUCH. WHEN WHOMEVER WAS ON THE OTHER END OF THE LINE SENCED MY AGITATION HE S
SAID "YOU STUPID F---ER CANT YOU HEAR" AND BEFORE I COULD RESPOND HE HUNG UP.WHO THE HECK ARE THESE PEOPLE!!!!!! I AM GOING TO INVESTIGATE FURTHER

Got this call this evening. Did not answer and no message was left. Would like to know what they wanted

Repeated calls from this number. No one is on line when it is answered. My phone ID says it is from the STATE OF OHIO.

GIVING YOU YOUR PHONE NUMBER AND ADDRESS DOESN`T SEEM TO BE A BIG PUZZLE. THEY CAN GET THEM FROM THE PHONE BOOK.  I WAS OUT OF MY APARTMENT WHEN CALLED.  CALLER I.D. SAID STATE OF OHIO.  LEFT NO MESSAGE!

No answering machine on our line, so don't know why they called.

They called again today and I answered it.

The caller stated he was a "Former Marine" calling for permission to send an envelope to my house for me to mail back a donation of $7.50 to help local displaced veterans.

Call came up State of Ohio, answered all to find out it was a telemarketer from the National Vietnam Veterans Foundation seeking donations.

several times in Dec. received this on caller id as "State of Ohio"  Today caller id just said "Ohio Call"

Phone call @ 1715 asking for a contribution to help
Vets with purchase of food and clothing and shelter.
Asked for min contribution of $ 7.50 will send envelope
for my contribution. Will turn envelope over to

i got this call same number in dec. no one there, 845pm.said state of  ohio/ got a call from (dont remember)? cell number right before that lady or kids talking in background,sound like foreign language, did not respond to me. my sis got this call same week.
found this site in dec. did not post. looked up cell phone # and  was registered to guy in waynesburg named john clair or st clair, lives in waynesburg, oh. /called phone co. they told me a # could not come up state of oh. unless it was government.
BACK AGAIN: got call a week ago not from state of oh. but from vet asking for money, would not send info, said it cost them money.
was online couple days ago doing geneology research, find out a guy named john clair was looking me up (CREEPY)got call from state of ohio today, no one there.
the guy is definately shady! would not have linked vet call to this except others on here are reporting vet calls.

BTW, the john clair who was looking for me online, supposedly is from sarasota florida.

Phone company said a civilian can't register a State of Ohio number, it has to be government, the guy is shady, leads me to beleive, hmmm, detective?

This number called at 8:39pm, I let it go to machine. They left no message. Started to bother me so I googled number and found this site. I also called it and got mailbox full, century link answering service.

If they call again I will answer it and report what I find.

got a call from john clair 330-438-1535 at 830pm...dont know him or why he called ....this number has called us before

They called, as I responded, heard background chatter, then they hung up. I called back, no response. After that I had an 888 call, nobody on the other side.

Got a call from this number and was hung up on.  For some reason, I had a bad feeling about this call because normally I wouldnt think twice about getting a hang up.  The caller ID said State Of Ohio so I thought it was coming from a government agency or something.  Anyone else have any idea who this is or why they are calling and hanging up??

Got a call from this # on a Sunday - left no message but showed up on caller id. I called it back - mailbox full. Wonder whats up with this?

Just got a call from this number at 8:45pm. Caller ID said "State of Ohio". I said Hello, the voice on the other side said hello, then nothing for 10 seconds or so and they hung up.

When I returned the call it went straight to a message service, but the message box was full.

8:56 PM DEC 8TH GOT CALL TRIED TO CALL BACK  SAID MAILBOX WAS FULL.IIT SAID STATE OF OHIO
