keeps calling my house, I don't answer

this needs to be stopped.  I am getting 2-3 calls per day.  I am going to sue these people.

Wish we could get a name / business associated with the call.  They can call and wake me us but cannot spend the time to leave a message...

This is the March of Dimes, and I've asked them to take me off their list MULTIPLE times.  I don't think they care.  The calls keep coming.  What happens to me is this:  The number shows as 330-479-0000 and Unknown Name.  I answer, and I hear music, obviously a computerized dialer.  I wait a few moments for them to get around to connecting, and before they can get out their story, I ask them to take me off their list.

Like most when I answered there was only an open line, no noise nothing. If this is the March of Dimes it is interesting, since I told them just yesterday that I was not in a position to help in their letter mailing campaign.  We'll see if this continues.

Another interesting thought; I was told long ago by someone who worked at a telephone company that the capability existed to call a number, have someone answer and then hangup, but cause the line to remain open.  Diagnostics were then performed on the line.  However, the line would remain open and hence noises around the phone could be heard.  He told me to pick up the 'phone a second time, the line would still be open, but by hanging up again the connection would finally be terminated; a dial tone would greet my ear when I picked up the 'phone for a third time.  I have found this pattern to play out for numerous calls for which this was no answer.  I'm not a 'phone guy, so don't know if this is possible or not, but my experience is consistent with what I was told, though on occasion it has taken a number of pick-up and hang-up tries to get back a dial tone.

We are getting 5+ calls a day from this number or variants (330-479-0006, 33-479-0011, etc.) and no messages.  When I answer it no one responds.  When I call that number I get a message that the number is disconnected (-0011) or not in service (-0000).

I am getting about 5 calls a day from 330-479-0000 and 330-479-0006.  I answer and hear noises but no one talks.  

These people need to be shot.  They are calling me at 9:00PM.  If I catch them I will burn them down.

Keep getting calls from this number.  Don't answer, and the caller does not leave a message.

I am getting calls from 330-479-0000 (0001 0002  00003  0006 and 0009) many times per day.  These calls start before 8:00am  and they do not leave a message, when I call back I get the "This number has been disconnected" recording.  This has been going on for several weeks now.  I also have registered and reregistered with the Do Not Call list.  I called my phone service provider and their tech said it is an automatic dialer machine and there is nothing they can do.  He also said sometimes kids figure out how to hi-jack phone numbers.  They suggested I change my phone number.  I do not owe anyone anything so it cannot be a collection agency....and would'nt those folks leave a message anyway?

Got a call from this number 8/3/07 at 11:02 am. Unknown name on Caller ID. Did not answer it. Have been getting calls from this number and similar ones (330-479-0006, 0010) for weeks, but I don't answer.

Several calls daily, no messages. I'm so glad I have caller ID!!

The phone number should have read 330-470-0009.. David Patterson.. This is the March of Dimes. Must be a huge phone solictation warehouse in Canton Ohio for many different companies.

My called ID had David Patterson from this number. I answered and it was lo and behold the March of Dimes who I have been receiving a million calls from a year after twice sending out mail for them. I told them after ther 2ns time I was not doing it again but they continue to hell hound me. If I say I wont send out again they ask for a donation. This is why I do not like to do anything once because they never leave you along after that. I do not pick up on out of area so I guess they have found a way to get me to answer phone.

Got a call from this number today... rang three times, didn't answer and they didn't leave a message.  Got a call from a similar number (330-479-0002) yesterday.

Several calls from this number - no message - I don't answer.  Can we make this stop?
