I got this text too. I have in Indiana. Luckily my phone can blacklist unwanted numbers from texting me. I suggest seeing if you have this capability.

I got this same text except it was from a different phone number. The number that texted me was from 928-514-2539. They also said that to find out who it was I had to add txtflirty38 on yahoo messenger. What type of scam is this?

Me, too.  Got a text "Hi, Joseph."  Not caller name so I didn't return the call.  This is probably a scam to find out which phone numbers they have are still valid.  If you reply, you may get further scam attacks.  Trust no one.

I got a text saying "hola Lyndsie!!" I texted back but got no reply.  I thought it was one of my school-mates until I looked up the area code...it says Ohio, I don't know anyone in Ohio.

Just got a text with my name.  How is this person finding out our names?

Glad I looked it up before asking who is this. I got the exact same message as Dan. Creepy.

They send a text that says:

hi "your name" you there?  haven't heard from you in a while.

Yes - they text me. I never respond.
