They asked for "the owner." When I said they were not here they asked if they were gone or just gone for the night. I asked her of this was a telemarketer and she said she was calling from a collection agency. She would not leave a phone number or tell who she was calling for.

Didn't answer the phone but they left a message. They said this was in reference to a letter that we received. That's odd because we never received a letter from them before or ever.

They call and when we pick up there is no person, only music plays for a few seconds.  Then we hang up.  I refuse to wait on hold when someone has called me.

Collection agency - very rude, very heavy accent - kept interrupting when I tried to find out why she was calling.  She was looking for a former employee of this company but it took several minutes to figure that out because she refused to listen or answer questions.

I answered the phone and there was no person just music playing.  Very weird

I kept getting calls, said they were from a debt collection agency about some amazon.com payment from march of last year, which was obviously false. I called them back nad blocked my number just to catch them, but I ended up going through some computer greeting system, then a person actually came on the phone. They are definately fake, but they've really improved how realistic they are.

D&B Receivables - scumbag collection agency - likes to call early in the morning, very late at night and sundays/holidays.

Calls from this number daily for a week.  Recording says it's about a letter I received.

Today I got a call from this company D & B RECEIVABLE, (330) 659-5443.  The woman claims I owed her $600+ dollars because I was put in collection agency by Sprint.  She said I closed my Acct on may when it was actually on march.  She gave me a number to call and said just give my social security number to the people. LMAO,
   First I over payed Sprint so they actually sent me $1.43 check after I close the acct.  Second, my father work for sprint so any issues with it the acct. he would know before-hand.. and they gave me the wrong date that when I supposedly close my Acct., Third I double check with sprint (I called sprint number from previous bill ), just in case there is a mistake and the customer service said Nope I dont owe anything....

THIS PEOPLE ARE LIARS AND THIEF, THEY WILL SCAM YOU.  DO NOT TRUST THEM. GO DIRECTLY TO THE COMPANY THEY CLAIM YOU OWE... DONT GIVE THEM A PENNY OF YOUR MONEY.

No caller.  Just music.   I hung up.  Looked them up on the web.  

Comments:  All  bills  are paid up and credit is stellar.

Outsourced call from India I am sure. This caller could barely communicate. I told him him the person he was looking for was not in. He kept replying "When?" (What??? He needs to take more English lessons! LOL!!!)
Also asked for the "nickname" of a individual here. They don't use their nickname so he made it even more obvious he was cold calling.
Our company has excellent credit, I don't know why a collection co would be calling here.

Judging from some of the posts, it seems as though their is outsourcing to a call center in India, which seems to all the rage for many companies these days.

I keep getting called on my home phone from the same guys. An Indian sounding guy always says we owe some debt to Amazon.com from a month where we never even purchased anything. I figured they were fake, and he has still yet to send an official letter like we asked for weeks ago. Sounds fake to me. Someone really needs to stop people like this, it's annoying.

I had a missed call from them a little bit ago and was searching online to see who it is.
I don't know why a collection agency would be calling me, as I only have one credit card and it's always paid on time.

I've picked up and been put on hold.  I assume this becuase there is music playing in the background.  I will not be put on hold when someone calls me!

They left a message in Spanish on my voice mail.  Other times, it's only music.
