I have the ability to divert inbound calls on my cell phone without having to actually answer the call. I have an outgoing message letting the caller know my number doesn't accept calls from caller ID blocked #'s or unsolicited sales calls. I have a Spanish last name which is why this idiot probably called me but I'm 3rd gen. I speak no Spanish and I'm as white as the day is long. I have absolutely no family left in Mexico.

I suggested you report him to your county police officer or that person will not stop this. This is what my phone company said to me.

just got the call, same Mexican accent pretending to be someone I knew. When I asked if it was Luis, he said yes but I knew he wasn't. Started to tell me that he was going to be in town and wanted to visit with us. When I asked him more questions, he hung up.

This individual call saying he was my cousin from Mexico. I did not recognize the voice so I question who he was. When he then said he was my uncle. I then questioned him on personal things only my uncle would know he hung up quickly.

A man with a Mexican accent called me claiming he was my cousin. Long story short, he was trying to get information out of me. When I didn't give him any information and continued to question him he avoided my questions and tried to make me feel bad for not remembering him. However, I didn't recognize him so I kept questioning him and eventually he hung up. This was obviously a scam.

Call my same number and same Mexican accent man saying things about cousin. I questioned him and he hung up. Very wierd.

Yes, that is probably a scam.
The person may call back, and tell you they ran out of gas (or something), and ask you for money.
Make up a name for a relative, and ask them if they know that person.

A man with mexican accent called today and mentioned my name asking me if I knew what cousing of mine I thought was calling, I said I didn't know and keep on asking to guess who he was.  I did not recognized his voice and I said sorry but I'm afraid I don't recognize you, he said that he was from my husband's cousing, that when I asked if he wanted to talked to him.  My husband then unsuered and didn't recognized him either.  That's when the man said that he was my husban's sister's husband and that him and my husband sister will come to visit Texas and then illinois to visit the familly. My husband then said that then call him back to be ready but he didn't realized that I neither new who this person was.  When my husband hung up we realized that this could be a froudulent call. then I started to search for places where I could report this just in case the man calls again we are prepared.
