I get calls from this number on my home phone several times a day.  I do not answer calls that I do not recognize the caller.  The ID only shows Auburn, AL.  I used my cell phone and called the number and a woman answered.  Thanked me for calling back.  Said she was calling for the "children's network."   I have been registered with the Do Not call Directory for a year or more, but I still get these type calls, along with political calls.  I am considering getting an unlisted number.

They said my daughter had written a bad check for 1100 dollars and they would arrest her if we did not pay them. They said they had her on video at the bank cashing the check. Complete pile of BS.

same story as every one else, my cell # is blocked so I don't know how he even got mine but I called him back after he threatened me being arrested and taken to court, etc, said that I had an overdue acct with American Cash or something similar to that, which I knew that I did NOT and when I asked him to send me paperwork for proff of this debt so that I could dispute it he said that he works in a law firm and they don't provide paperwork, not even email, what a retard!!! anybody knows that a law office is obligated to provide proof of any case they are persuing, So this was on a Friday and I tell him I'm not paying him anything without proof of a debt which I knew he didn't have because I didn't have such a debt, he started @ $8k-ish and I had to pay it then and there to avoid being arrested, later in the conversation he lowered it to paying half today and finally by the end of everything he said if you will pay $250 today we can deal with this out of court, whatever you moron! Then he tells me to call my family members and friends to come up with the money by the end of the day Monday or else we meet in court on Tuesday, as if it goes that fast anyways! He actually called me late Monday and said "you said you would call me today, why didn't you call!!" I said no you told me to call, I'm not going out of my way to call you. I told him that I had contacted the local police which I did and gave them his cell phone number which we found was billed to a dorm on Auburn University campus and he stuttered and was like, "NO I work at a law firm, I'm no college kid!" Then he said well if you don't pay up then I wish you the best of luck in court. Waited several days and then called him for the first time from my blocked caller id he casually answered "what's up!" I said nothing...he was like "hello?, who is this?, why are you calling me!? Then he put someone else on the phone and the said with an angry voice words that I've never heard because they were middle-eastern language like the other guys accent and then hung up on me.

My boyfriend and I got same exact calls but when I told this so called anthony miller I was onto him he got hateful and then threatened to have us arrest. I told him not to contact us anymore and he threatened to have us executed said he was coming to our home even knew our address.  Im terrified
This man is sick and needs to be put away
. I filed report with our local sheriffs dept and there going to contact fbi and have extra patrol around our area.

Has anyone actually been served with papers or been arrested? These people have been harrassing me at my home and at work. I got vicious. I'm so fed up with these people! I called to get their address and all they said was "Alabama". I asked what city, and they hung up. I called back and asked for their State Bar Association number, and they hung up.

we called them back a few times, and they ended up telling us off in several different languages and telling us we were wasting their time. i ended telling them to send the cops or paperwork because i was finished hearing their bs lies!

I as well got the call like everyone else. This is not the 1st time either.  I have a payday loan but it is at a company in my home town and I knew from the last time this happened to me just exactly what to do. I remained calm with Mr Sean Anderson at Gerald and Jackson Law Firm. 100 N Dean Rd., Auburn, Al 36380. Phone # 334-352-9973. He gave me the same speech at first and I told him that I was driving and would call back.  When I called back I asked for his name, the name of his firm, the address and for his state bar association #. Well I got the address out of him but he would not give me his state bar association number. So I told him that my attorney needed the number to make sure that they were licensed in our state to practice law here. He told me that someone would call be back. Of course no one did. So I waited for about 10 minutes did an online search for this law firm in the state of Alabama. Of course no firm showed up in my search. My Attorney got on his system and found no law firm in the US. So my attorney and I did a conference call back to Mr Sean Anderson and of course he was not in. So my attorney asked to speak with the attorney in charge and boy did my Attorney rip into these people.

What my attorney told them was the following: he thanked them for their contact information (they gave my attorney a bogus Bar Association #) he told them that he was filing a federal charge against them to the US Department of Home Land Security for committing acts of terrorism and fraud against the people of the United States. As it is documented with Home Land Security that they are calling from Nigeria and India scamming US Citizens. They hung up. My attorney told me as a favor to me he would file the report for me. He did it for me because he is very good to our family.

I don't want to sound negative against middle eastern people but all of these people have American Names with very hard to understand middle eastern accents. The lesson learned here is just to deal locally with a payday loan. Don't do one with a company on-line that doesn't have a location near you that you can go into and finish your business with.  Don't give them any information of yours and don't give them any money. They are probably using your money to further terrorist acts against the United States.

Also like it is noted above, no one would ever warn you that you are going to be arrested. They cannot speak to you in an abusive manner, it is against the law in the US for them to discuss you business with anyone other than you and you cannot be put in Jail over a debt. Then of course a true collector has to notify you in writing of the debt, they have to prove that you owe the debt, they truly wil work with you and will only go to litigation as a last resort.

I know how these people are they scare you to death and don't give you time to even think or will even verify the validity of their claim. I know as it happened to me once. I went and filed a report with the police as well when it happened to me the 1st time. The police told me the same thing, no one would ever tell you that your are going to be arrested ahead of time because you could run. The police also said that Debitor Prison was outlawed way before our time here on earth.

Please report them to Homeland Security this is the only way to stop them.

No one is ever notified in advance of their arrest! Goodness, that would give people time to take off and hide-out!!!

Was contacted by this company on 8/24 and told to prepare myself for arrest on 8/28 for all types of fraud that I allegedly committed that I have no knowledge of.I am extremely upset about this situation.I am contacting my local police in the morning to report this and also my Bank.

i have recieved several calls for a few days and when they call they have attitudes saying i owe 8,000 dollars. so i check my account there was no money in my account. i asked them what was my account number she gave me the last four and i told her i dont have any money then she stated i will be served some papers tomorrow at 11am.

I have received the same call. It originated from lee, al its a landline and its nextel. Did u try and get a payday loan thru fast payday something. I believe they are connected. They had someone from there office call me and pretend to be from the states attorney. When I reversed the number the phones were registered to the same person.

I have received this call several times in the past day or so. They leave a message saying you owe something and that it is urgent for you or your attorney to return the call and if you do not all they can do is "wish you good luck." Its a scam artist trying to make you believe you owe money for a payday loan of some sort.

We just had the same thing happened. They called my husband at work and threatened him with being arrested for defaulting on a pay day loan he never took out. They were swearing at him. He called a lawyer and they said they are scam artist and to call them back and give the the lawyers number. When my husband did this they used all kinds of profanity and hung up on him. Some one needs to shut these people down.

Just got a call and at first they tried to sound friendly, but as soon as i stated i never took out a $400 loan with americash they got very nasty. They threatened to call my job and have me arrested Monday which i would then miss work for a week and get fired. I told them do what they had to do cause i dont own money and i paid my debts on time. Then i hung up. I called my boyfriend, then my bank, my boss who just laughed and said wow r they serious, and then made an nonemergency police report. After i do that im calling Americash headquarters to let them know ppl r being harassed and the ppl doing it r using their company and im gonna try to trace this number. I forgot to mention the callers name was Anthony Miller. They couldnt provide the dollar amount I owed or the lender that I owed. They said they were from the legal department of American Cash which is the parent company for many of the smaller payday loans.

They called me at work and cell phone demanding i send them money thru walmart green money pack.
They said it was on a payday loan. At first they made it seem like the loan was defaulted. I offered unecessary information to let them know i just got loans. So they changed their tune and asked I send them payment within an hour or else they will press federal charges against me.

They just called me and told me I had to send $1156.16 to them right now, they called me at work and told me to fax them my last 6 months of bank statements, if I did not send the money now, they would send the arrest warrent to California and have me put away for a week, and would have to let the Judge decide my outcome.  This has to do with a payday loan, also the fact that I have not had one, they used my email address, home phone, ssn and called me at work.  They said if I do not send the $1156.16 now, it would be $8000 in court.

I got a call from a lady name Crystal Parker from this number. She left very threatening voicemail telling me that if I did not call her the second I got this call that bad things were gonna happen tome.  This is like the third or fourth time she has called and I am sick of it.  I had another one of these a few weeks ago and it was exactly the same story.  I don't owe any payday loan companies the thousands they  are telling me that i do.  This is a scam and these people need to be stopped. Honest hard working people do not deserve to have to deal with this.  334-209-3187 is the hotline to her division and she used the exact same script as the guy did last time.

This person is Identifing himself as Anthony Milo fromGerald & Jackson Law Office. He is saying that I am being prosicuted for illegal applications and I that have major fines and am being prosecuted. They are going as far as harassing me at work and being rude to my co-workers. Only the thing I can think of is that I was applying for a short term personal loan. I felt very off about it and never completed the application or my request for the loan. Now I am getting non stop harassment calls. All from males with foreign accents.
Also getting same phone call from a 786-600-1009 He identifies himself as Andrew Johnson from Anderson law firm. Sounds just like the other person. Everything is exactly the same.

I just got the same call and they called my on my and and work phone. When i called back they said i owed money to some lender. I had this same call last years and was told by the police that if i were indeed going to be arrested for something that it would be illigal to call and worn me due to flight risk. I was told that i should just tell them to send me the information in writing and that i will never hear from them again, which i didn't until now.

Any clue where this is from?

I recieved a call as well. He informed me that if i didnt pay i will be arrasted at my place of employment tomorrow for fraud and theft. When i called back he was nasty and said he didnt want to talk to me anymore and wouldnt provide any information about his company. I reported it to the fedral trade comission so hopefully they will get what is coming to them.

Sounds like all our experiences are similar. And I too believe it was a scam, and I do not have any outstanding loans, as they indicated. As soon she realized she wasn't getting money from me over the phone, the conversation got nasty. Probably in an attempt to scare me to give them money.

I was told - by someone who spoke broken english - that I needed to go to the "courthouse" and "let a judge decide". I was told I would be served a subpeona and arrest warrant where I work. I was also told I was a "bogus person" and a "criminal". If this is truly a debt collector, they have violated my rights in about half a dozen different ways under the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act. I have to believe it's a scam, but I will be calling back with questions I have a right to ask. I will also refer to FDCPA and all the things they have violated! So if this is truly a law firm/debt collector, see if your state allows you to record your calls. You may have a claim against them.

Just received one myself telling me it was a law firm for my step-father and if we didn't get him to call back in 24 hours the police were coming to arrest him at his place of employment. When I refered to it being a scam I was hung up on. He claimed his name was John Griffen and gave me a Law office Name of Jarod and Jackson.

I just did as well.  They are treatening to take me to court if I don't get an attorney and pay 8000.00.  I don't owe any money so I am confused.  Who is it.  They don't even speak english.
