just got a call from them,same thing disconnected or not in service

They called me early, 8am, on Sat. and Mon. morning.  This really pisses me off that I can't call back and have found no way of stopping it.  I do know that the national Do Not Call list is only for people selling stuff, surveys are not illegal...

This company calls all the time.  From this website (and others on the internet) a lot of people are receiving the same calls from this annoying company.  Why can't homeowners do anything to stop this? Obviously someone is having a jolly good time from Greensboro, NC.  This is a public nuisance and it's affecting our quality of life.  We should have a law in place to go after company like this -- AND fine them $1,000 for every phone call they make.  See how many calls they will make then!

Here is how to handle this phone number.  1. Answer the phone before it rings 4 times. 2. Hear the introduction by the interviewer.  3. Either agree to do the survey, ask to be called back at a particular time, or clearly tell them "No, I don't want to do a survey.  Please take me off this list."  I have worked at the market research company in question for over 10 years.  You can also ask to speak to a supervisor, and/or ask for a phone number to call the company during business hours to lodge your complaint.

Two facts:  1. It is not illegal to show a "fake" number to caller ID.
           2. It is not illegal to call someone on the DNC list to request they do a survey.  Check with your Congressman/woman or your state legislator if you don't believe me.

But it IS illegal to be harassed. Congressmen/legislators don't address this issue. Your state's Attorney General does.

1) Retain a log of the calls
2) IF AND WHEN you get a live person on the other end ..
  get the company name
  physical mailing address
  and phone number
3) go online and file a complaint with your states Attorney General.
4) The AG will follow-up, whether they are soliciting you are not, telling the company to STOP CALLING or they will be fined.
5) You get another call, contact your AG.
6) They get fined.

Regardless, keep a log of dates/times when they call. Be sure to use dilligence and follow up or it won't do any good. I've gotten 3 calls in 2 days from 336-217-0875,6,4 ... same company. I'm keeping my log.

I answered the call.  A woman asked to speak to a stranger's name and wanted to take a servey for a Honda car that person just purchased.  I told her she had wrong number.

Recived a call from a male caller claiming to be representing Colgan Pharmaceutical research.  He wanted to know which familyu member was responsible for picking up prescriptions.  I told him that sometimes I picked them up, and them sometimes my husband did-- then he had the aducacity to want to speak to my husband who was watchng tleveiosn.  I told the caller that my husband was watcing tleviions and did not wish to be bothered by  the survey.  I then asked the caller what was the real purpose of his survey-- and he hung up!

This number called our house yesterday and asked if there were any un-circumcised males in our household!!!!!

No answer when u pick up

Called @ 8:24pm. I did not recognize the number & did not pick up the call. No message was left.

Received a call from this number and when I answered no one replied.

I have been getting calls from this number for weeks.  Sometimes twice a day.  Since I haven't recognized the number, I've never answered.  I definitely won't answer now.

They have called my phone 5 times now over a span of about two months.  The first time, they claimed to be with a customer satisfaction survey company regarding my refrigerator. I asked them not to call back.  They called three more times, hanging up each time.  This morning, someone identifying themselves as Barb Jones from the customer satisfaction survey hung up on me when I asked her never to call back and  what company she was calling from.

Like all of you, I have been getting calls from these morons too. As mentioned previously, they are exempt from the Do Not Call list. But they are not exempt from us taking action. Here is what I suggest...

I told them to remove my number fro their list. I suggested that if they do not, I would motivate other frustrated people on this website to find a solution to their intrusions. I suggest you set up your email to send the same removal message every minute. Fax a removal request every minute, and set up your autodailer to dial their number every minute.

They have been calling my house non stop for the past week.  Thanks for the number listed above.  I called and they said they have about 8 surveys running right now.  I told them to take me off of all of them.  They call, ask for me specifically, I get on the phone, then they hang up.

They keep calling me.  I specifically asked to be taken off of their list and the man was very rude.

Tonight was first call from this #, and I didn't answer since I didn't recognize it. They called at 8:30 p.m. & didn't leave a message.  I called the number & got a recording that it was disconnected.

I believe the calls from (336) 217-0874/5/6/9, with the caller ID "SOUTHNET" is generated from  Greensboro Market Research and Marketing Analysis firm and their address is:  1204 Oakland Avenue, Greensboro, NC  27403.  The correct website address is:  www. telectr.com and they specialize in telephone and online survey research.  Even if they are exempt from the DO-NOT-CALL list because they are not selling anything to YOU, they are certainly selling YOUR info to other companies.  This should be against the law.
